Grilled preferably and I'd like to avoid garlic and too much butter.
Recipes for sauces and side dishes to go with the shrimp would be extra helpful....thanks!

You can reduce the butter on this if you like.

Baked Shrimp

1stick butter, melted
4lemons
1ounce ground black pepper
1bottle (16 oz.) Wishbone or Viva Italian Salad Dressing
5pounds raw shrimp, headless, unpeeled
Salt to taste
Hot French Bread

Melt butter. Thinly slice 2 lemons and squeeze juice from the remaining two. Combine all ingredients with shrimp and place in a 3-quart Pyrex or Corning Ware baking dish. Bake, tightly covered, at 375° for 45 minutes. Serve warm unpeeled shrimp with some of the sauce. Use French Bread for dipping in sauce. These are messy, but sooo good!! I usually serve with baked potato & green salad. Serves 5-6.

This Tequila Grilled Shrimp is tasty and you can pick whatever veggies you want (if you don't like peppers and onion).

2 pounds shrimp
1 green bell pepper
1 red bell pepper
1/4 yellow onion
8 slices bacon
2 tablespoons tequila
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon lime juice
Hot sauce, to taste

DIRECTIONS
Remove shells from shrimp. De-vein if needed. Mix tequila, lime juice, oil and hot sauce. Cut peppers and onions into 1 1/2 inch squares. Marinate shrimp, peppers and onions for at 1 hour in refrigerator. Wrap a piece of bacon around each shrimp. Skewer, alternating items. Grill for 6 minutes (3 minutes per side). Baste with marinade as needed.

Here's another for Spicy BBQ Shrimp (you can leave out the chiles if you want less heat)

12 large shrimp
6 ounces provolone cheese, cut into 12 strips
1/4 cup green chile peppers, diced
6 slices bacon, cut in half
1/4 cup barbecue sauce

DIRECTIONS
Peel, devein and butterfly the shrimp or prawns. Insert a strip of provolone cheese and 1 teaspoon of the diced green chilies into each shrimp. Fold over the shrimp and wrap with a half strip of bacon. Secure with wooden picks. Cook shrimp on grill, basting with your favorite barbecue sauce, until bacon is cooked and shrimp is pink.

Quick and easy? Try a package of stir-fry veggies. I put about a tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet, then prepare the vegetables according to the directions on the bag. Just before they are done, I add the shrimp. It only takes a couple of minutes for the shrimp to turn pink, indicating that they are cooked. This makes a nice entree that can be served alone or with rice.

Do you live near an HEB grocery? They have these little buckets of sauces in a cold case near the fishmongers display. We like the scampi (but it has garlic) & the teriyaki. I jsut peel the shrimp, lay them in a shallow dish & pour the sauce over. Then bake for about 10-20 min @ 350 degrees. Will vary based on size of shrimp.

I like this recipe: It is a Cajun spice mix.
First drizzle lemon juice over the shrimp.
Salt and Pepper.
Dust with paprika then a little Garlic & Onion powder.
It's quick and brings out the true sweetness of the shrimp.
