A simple recipe for your cake!

Maple-Nut Buttercream Frosting

3 C powdered sugar
1/3 C butter (softened)
1/2 C pure maple or maple-flavored syrup
1/4 C finely chopped nuts (or just decorate the top with pecan halves)

Mix powdered sugar and butter in medium bowl. Stir in maple syrup. Beat until smooth. Stir in nuts and spread over cooled cake.
Also good on banana breads or apple cakes as well! Enjoy.

note:You could also make a cream cheese frosting.

See what you've done; now I have to go to the store and buy the stuff to make the same cake I have to try that combo. I wonder what Angelfood and Chocolate would taste like??? Maybe with a Cherry Drizzle....hmmm.
