agreed.....but u have to remember some of these ppl how are reporting u are kids who don't know how to debate a question logically or intellectually yet. So when u ask a genuine question that maybe on the controversial side but it makes u think.....these kids take it as a direct insult to their religion instead of a curiosity question.
NEway...half the ppl that are considered "religious" are just sheep...they need to be told what to do and how to think. So the church essentially is for them....the bible says that the masses are sheep that need to be lead. Most ppl are still like that....so when u try to debate with the general "sheep" u get answers that they have been told to say and think...b/c they have been told this they can't possible think of an answer to a question they haven't been told what to think. So they just fall back on....."U need to find Jesus b/c u r an atheist bastard".
Which u r probably not...u just have a well thought out intellectual thought. And intellectual thoughts tend to be non PC.

How true. I've answered questions respectfully and honestly, and yet even fellow Christians have reported me. I said "damn" once, though.
Anyway, I have come to realize that I don't give a DAMN if I am reported or not. If we can't answer with honestly, then this entire idea of a questions/answer forum is a failure.
As long as its here, I will answer the way I see fit; if someone doesn't like it, I could care less if they hit the report button. I have more in my life than just this forum. Besides, people have done things on here that were unbelievable, and yet are still here after more than a year.

I'm pretty sure Yahoo Answers occasionally makes mistakes. Who or what doesn't?
I have noticed, though, since I've been posting in this forum, alot of people actually appear angry because they read something they didn't agree with. I think it's because people think that every single other person in the world is supposed to consider each and everybody else's feelings. How on Earth is someone supposed to know what hurts whomever's feelings? That's just insane. Some people are just so sensitive towards everything.
I'll never understand why people get angry simply because they were exposed to something that 'hurt their feelings' and not their body. That happens to ALL OF US. We all have feeliings, folks. Censorship hurts mine.

I have never watered down my arguments because I was afraid of offending someone. I am respectful of other religions and not resorted to some of the harrassing, name calling that some do, but I will state my arguments. I have never had any problems and my answers are not considered PC. I speak what I believe in and try to provide references when I can.

Marc, you have to be PC and phoney pretty much everywhere and all the time. It's called playing the game i.e. life.
And hey, if you can't be sensitive about your belief system in which you place all your faith what can you be sensitive about? You're right though, it is kind of sad.

This has occurred because so many people come on here and bash every religion and atheists, agnostics, etc.
What is wrong with conversing with one's own--and letting people of other religions, and of no religion, to lead their own lives?

Marc I did not see your question. I am not Catholic, but if its something I know I do try and answer or at least suggest somewhere to get one.
As for Yahoo...I have decided they draw names each day to give violations to. I have had violations on answers that I reported, lol. I have had violations because I did not answer enough and should have said more...few of them make sense. I just ignore them now.
Sorry you got dinged...maybe it will be my turn tomorrow. Oh...and no, this place is a lot of things, but politically correct is NOT one of them, lololol. <>

Do you mean the yahoo gestapo. You have to watch what you say because there are rules for yahoo answers, people can report you and your account can be deleted. If you don't believe me go on ahead and be offensive and see how long your account last. That's why I have to be careful about what I say about those "wonderful" muslims.

I concur being politicaly correct can hinder a conversation although if possible we should try not to hurt a persons feelings but prove or try to prove a point based on the logic that you have to lay out. people are very sensetive and we must take that into consideration.

Oh, yeah....I think that's the problem we all have with Yahoo Answers. To restrained and polite!
The REAL problem is that there's no kind of actual intelligent arbitration going on - if enough people report you, regardless of whether their reasons were valid at all according to Yahoo's TOC, your post gets deleted.
