She was very nice, compared to ppl ive seen in the past but from the word go I could see she was trying to find reasons for my problems. I can't pin point anything, there are things i am not happy with but I don't think i ended up with certain conditions because of this...but I know if i say that the counsellor will prob not be able to help.

the counsellor is trying to find a reason as a way to help them know what approach to take in helping you, but they can still help without a specific reason. A doctor can heal a broken leg without knowing how you broke it, and a counsellor can help you think in a more positive way without knowing why you were thinking negatively.
Lots of people don't know why they feel bad. Sometimes there isn't a reason! They still get better. Good luck!

You poor girl, I suffered from the same things at various times in my life, and wished I had been prescribed Prozac years ago. I know this is not a definitive answer, but in my case medication was the answer I was looking for. As for the counsellor she would have been trying to get a larger picture of your problems. My advice would be to take her on your side and open out to try to get to the bottom of it. May take a while but it is worth it. Good luck and may you get all the help you need.

Hi,

In order to feel anything happy sad etc there has to be a reason, its a natural process of life - cause and effect.

If u r unhappy there must be a reason why? She will just talk untill u and her come to some conclusion to what has caused it. Sometimes it will suprise u what is actually causing the problems for example i saw a counsellor thinking that my depression was caused by being abused as a child, but in actual fact it came to liight that i was scared of rejection.

There does not have to be any particular event or occurrence for you to be anxious or depressed. These things can happen due to chemical imbalances in the brain and are very common. Some people are worse during the winter. I would talk to your counsellor about how your feeling and be honest, it can help to talk about your problems. If the therapy doesn't help and you are miserable I would go to see your doctor and see if there would be something they could do to help. Good luck and I hope you feel better.

No, I don`t think so. When I was 19 I had a bad bout of depression for about 12 months and my weight went down to 6 stone. I developed a strange phobia about everything `modern`. My GP was excellent though and the meds worked, but to this day I don`t know what caused it, and it has never recurred. That was 32 years ago.

There doesn't always have to be a reason for feeling depressed. It's a way of thinking. Like some people think positive while others think negative. This doesn't mean a depressed person will always be depressed as you can change the way you think. It just takes a lot of time and patience.

There's not always a reason, and you shouldn't try to look for one.

Sometimes you just feel depressed, or do thing to harm yourself in some way, just because it's how you feel.

Just know that you're a good, valuable person. I'm glad you're seeking help and stick with it.

I hope you find happiness!

i trust so, motives to stay would nicely be hidden by our thoughts and in our idea equipment. We ought to always project our beliefs to make sure in the journey that they are rational, at such circumstances they're regularly no longer. a reliable specialist can comprehend, see by our obstacles, help us see new truths, a route to favor it really is new, or has been left out as no longer truly honestly worth the attempt. from time to time we favor to take that route first, and decide the attempt when we get to the position wish is discovered. Our power, our genuine endurance is likewise hidden in our thoughts, our beliefs in how a lot we may be able to take, how a recommendations we may be able to pass. An celebration will be a bicycle proprietor in a race who believes that each and each body power is lengthy gone, the second one wind has been used up, there's a lot soreness, etc have already finished the race. by surprise, the end line will be considered. An unimagined, no longer conceivable flood of up to date power is enveloped, sufficient to carry on, and in the route of the objective. My docs idea, about the ability of chaos,is that we ought to install sufficient power of order, ourselves to have stability, as in preserving order in a backyard, left untended chaos can rule. it is going to take a lot of our time, endurance and power to have order lower back. a perfect backyard will be reason sufficient.

Say what you feel. Be honest with your counsellor then she will be more able to help you. Stick with it though... It takes time to get better, and sometimes its not just one thing. Good luck.
