Trust me, it is so not worth making, a pain to shred all that cabbage and much cheaper to buy, but here you go:

Cabbage, either green or purple or both
Carrot
Green onion
Mayonnaise
Yellow mustard
Pepper

Starting with a head or half a head of cabbage, thinly slice the cabbage until you have approximately 4 cups (not packed) of sliced cabbage. Julienne a half of a carrot. Thinly slice a couple green onions. For the mayo dressing add 3 Tbsp mayo, 1/2 teaspoon of yellow mustard and mix in with the cabbage, carrot, and onions. Add pepper to taste.

Just shred loads of Carrot & White Cabbage & a bit of Onion, and then toss the whole lot with some Mayonaisse.

For a nice touch, I always like to add some Mature Cheddar.

Cole Slaw – Magnolia’s Recipe

1 head cabbage
1 large carrot
1 1/2 cup mayonnaise or (1 cup mayo & 1/2 cup sour cream)
Finely chopped Kosher dill pickles, about 2 small whole pickles, grated
3 tablespoons sugar or to taste
3 tablespoons pickle juice (or delete pickles and juice & use 3 tabs vinegar)
3/4 teaspoon prepared mustard or 1/8 tsp dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 – 1/2 tsp onion powder or 4 finely chopped scallions
1tablespoon Poppy Seeds or to your taste

Finely shred the cabbage, carrot and onion. Mix well. Combine mayonnaise, sugar, pickle juice, mustard (if using), salt, pepper, onion powder and poppy seeds to create the dressing for the cole slaw. Add to shredded vegetables and chill.

Lately, I have been watching my carbs and have started using Splenda for the sugar, about 2 – 3 packets for this amount of cole slaw.
If too vinegary, add some more sugar or Splenda, too sweet, add more pickle juice. I get compliments on my cole slaw recipe. Hope this works for you.

Finely shred cabbage and/or carrot. The dressing is usually made from a combo of mayo, vinegar and/or lemon juice, a touch of sugar, salt and pepper.

Those are the basics but there are other seasoning variations.

A really easy way to make it if you haven't before: chop up cabbage, sprinkle a LITTLE vinegar, a little sugar and then add
slaw dressing instead of mayo. ( You can get it where the mayo etc is. Add some shredded carrots if you want also. Yummy!

The easy way: Buy a bag of veggies (it should say coleslaw! like this one http://abclocal.go.com/images/dole_coleslaw_recall_100305_lg.jpg). Buy the coleslaw salad dressing, I use Kraft. Mix together and enjoy.

If you want to make everything yourself, google is your friend: one of the results http://www.elise.com/recipes/archives/000724coleslaw.php

shred white cabbage, white onions and some carrots and mix together with mayonaise, add a little salt and pepper to taste. If you want a fruity taste you can also add some apple and/or sultanas (when adding the apple you will need to add a little lemon juice to stop it browning).
