If you're dating a woman and then find yourself attracted to her friend, how do you make the switch from her to her friend without making too much of a mess?

you have to break up with the first one right away and do it so she's not going to trash you to her friend. It will take time (months) but keep in touch with the friend by asking her a simple question (via e-mail or phone). you should play it cool so she doesn't think that you were scheming to get her this whole time. after a few months of sporadic contact with the friend, take your contact with her to the next level (but still subtle) call her like you normally do maybe asking for advice or help with something simple that most guys don't like asking their buddys. then you can start talking to her more in depth and start getting to know her. once you establish a repore with her, she'll start to feel for you and then you can go for kill. she and you both can always say that you didn't plan on this happening to your ex and explain that sometimes things happen and you can't just turn off your feelings for her friend. WALLA!!!! Good luck, you dog.

Chances are that you can't. Most friends I know have either a spoken or unspoken rule about dating ex boy-friends. In other words - they don't date their friend's ex-boyfriends.
