Perceiving is where you just observe but do not add any of your own thoughts to the situation.

Perceiving is the mode it which you recognize the situation and analytically look at each element to get an accurate picture of the situation.

Judging the situation is the mode in which you make an actual decision about the application of the situational elements and the effects those applications will achieve.

Perceiving is continual, like you can percieve an event as it is occuring. Judging is how you decide to feel about something.

"I percieve this bankrobbery as a violent and frightening event in my life, however looking back on it, I cannot judge the men holding up the bank because they were just trying to feed their families."

Not sure, but judgement is part of comprehension. Otherwise perceptions are simply unprocessed data---meaningless and not informative. We must process and judge data to understand it...I think judging, the imposition of meaning onto data, is part of perception.

Jeff...a perception is based on your five senses...a judgment is making a decision as to the value of...in the cases we discuss here...the person. If you see me your perception would be...older female (yeah I admit it, lol), red hair (yes I dye it), smells good, she has a sweet voice (we will leave out taste, lol). Your judgment might be...what a lazy b88ch, all she ever does is sit at the computer and gripe. <>
