Eggs should definitely be kept refridgerated!
-Every hour an egg is at room temperature it loses a grade. For example, grade A eggs will become grade B eggs. The yolks will not rise as high.
-Eggs are a potentially hazardous food. Leaving them at room temperature will cause a risk of salmonella.

Bread is best if kept at room temperature. If you plan on keeping it more than a few days then putting it in the refridgerator or even the freezer is fine.

Eggs you'll probably want to put in the fridge. You don't "have" to, but they'll lose about a grade a day if you don't. So, say you bought some grade AA eggs, and you left them out a day, they'll probably have turned into grade A eggs overnight. it's best to refrigerate for quality purposes, but not totally necessary. there is always the risk of salmonella, whether you refrigerate or not.

As for bread, never refrigerate. Freeze if you must, but never refrigerate. Refrigeration, although it slows down molding of the bread, it causes the bread to become stale so much faster. Leave your bread out of the fridge, unless you don't plan to eat it in the near future, and in that case, freeze it.

And who the hell would give Chef Mark a thumbs down. that was a perfect answer from, presumably, a Chef. He's correct with what he says. I gave you a thumbs up, Chef

As far as I know, the eggs you buy in the store come refrigerated, and they should be refrigerated at home. Bread can be left out, or stored in the fridge to make it last longer. Keeping bread in the fridge stops it from growing mold so quickly.

Refrigeration retards the spoilage of all types of foods. Bread will last much longer if in the fridge and eggs MUST be refrigerated to prevent the prevalence of salmonella bacteria spread as well as spoilage.

That depends on whether you ask the French, or the paranoid, ignorant, neurotic, misinformed Americans who turn food into an issue, and not a celebration of life.

(I'm American by the way).

The French do not refrigerate their eggs. Raw eggs aren't nearly as dangerous as the American food-phobes would have you think.

Go ahead an refrigerate them but only 1 in 20,000, (based on the AMERICAN USDA) have salmonella.

Yes, eggs should always be refrigerated.
Recipes sometimes call for eggs at room temperature....just remember to take them out of the fridge 15 minutes earlier.
I'm not certain about bread.
I do keep mine always in the fridge.

Either;
Eggs in the refrigerator if you plan to cook and eat them
Eggs left out if you plan to sit and hatch them
Bread in the refrigerator to keep it relatively fresh
Bread left out to harvest mold (need pennicillin?) in a few days
