Well what ever the case, one thing is for sure; there was once an empty planet, then the dust of that planet sprang to life. Now we have a planet covered with a broad diversity of life.

Some believe that the inanimate dust of the earth somehow found the right conditions to begin reproducing and evolving itself.

I believe that God himself caused the dust of the earth to come to life.

Some believe that the first things that sprang to life mutated abundantly into various life forms and began to compete for recourse on the planet and consume each other.

I believe that God created living things and that living things reproduce and that they can’t evolve into other life forms because DNA prevents this.

Some believe that we are products of evolution having followed the evolutionary tree up through some ape family and that the reason that we are so far advanced beyond the rest of the competition is because we are more able to adapt.

I believe that we are created in the image of God and that is the reason we speak, ponder, write, sing, create, love, sin and hate. I believe we are not advanced animals, but the image of our creator.

Some believe that you can reconcile evolution with creation.

I believe the whole theory of macro-evolution and mans decent from apes is a complete hoax and that people should know better. It is as if scientists have their own little pagan secular religion going on and they will do and say what ever it takes to prove we arrived here by natural means.

I believe that animals adapt, but they don’t change into other life forms no matter how much time is involved.

Some believe that you can reconcile evolution with Christianity.

I believe that if you can get past the first verse in the bible, the rest should be easy for you to swallow.

“In the beginning God created the heaven and earth.” Gen 1:1

If you are a Christian that believes in the theory of evolution as it is being taught in our schools, and that Jesus is somehow a descendant of apes, I would ask you to ponder one question. By what monkey power did Jesus Christ get up out of that grave?

This is called Theistic Evolution. It is not truth. For the account of creation says God created everything in 7 days. Some people claim that a thousand yrs--etc., is a day to God. But the plants were created a day before the sun. A plant cannot survive without the sun for thousands of years, so a day in the Bible is a 24 hour day. Evolution was made up by Charles Darwin-who actually said he made it up before he died. If you study Genisis 1:1-28 carefully every question about creation vs. evolution is answered.

I think it's very possible. If you believe God created the beginning of the universe, you can still believe that life was formed by evolution. Everything in the Bible cannot be taken literally. (If I have to take the Bible literally, can I "smite" my neighbor for mowing his lawn at 8 am on Sunday morning? Please?) If God created the heavens and earth in 6 days, we are still left with the question of what did God create and what is a "day" in the eyes of God. We know that evolution occurred and continues to occur. We know the universe began at some point--or do we? We could believe that God did no more than lay the framework for the beginning of life through the process of evolution.

No. Once you know enough about each theory (?), you must conclude they are not compatible.

Evolution places death before sin-that is a major problem that can not be fixed, unless the earth is only 6200 years old and that dinosaurs and man lived together.
Or, the Bible could be wrong.
Either way-believe in evolution, or believe in creation. There are definite consequences for both.

Most reasonable people think that the earth and universe is billyons and billyons of years old. (That is my Carl Sagan impression). My take on it is that it is trillions and trillions of years old, older than we can possibly imagine as mere mortals. My view is that there was a singularity, maybe this was god, and he Big Banged and the universe did its evolution and civilization thing. Then it contracted and did a Big Squeeze back to a singularity. This is a process of billyons and billyons of years. Then it Big Banged again and it is off and running again evolving and civilizing and eventually Big Squeezing again. Since the universe re-creates itself at each Big Bang we could be old beyond any possible comprehension. And to think that god gives this speck of a Big Blue Marble any thought is ludicrous. That is man, anthropomorphizing god. It just ain’t so. It would be like you being overly concerned about part of the mitochondria of a part of one cell somewhere in your body. God might be able to see and do something about that cell, but I doubt if he would even care, even if he knew we were there/here.

To believe in evolution and creation is possible because I believe God created the process of evolution but to believe evolution and the creationalist view is not possible. That's like asking if there can be an Atheist Christian. lol

This is the philosophy of Intelligent Design, that is that god directed evolution and caused certain changes to happen. This theory seem rather far fetched.... both from a deist and a evolutionary viewpoint.

Not in the literal creation story. Evolution.... long time. Creation, 6 days.

Now, if you don't take the story of creation literally, then maybe.

Sure and I wonder if we are still ape like. God breathed life into Adam making him different (check out the difinition of breath=spirit). Read the account of Cain and other people out to get him when banished. There is evidence that species have changed to adapt but no evidence that we evolved from antoher lieform that I am aware of.

No. The Bible uses the word "day" in genesis. Any interpretation of that word meaning more than 24 hours is dishonest. The generations described later place Genesis at a time 1000 years after humans invented glue. It's B.S.
