I have travelled a bit and found racism everywhere I've gone. As I am white and western I am usually positively descriminated but it is still a form of racism.
It persists through a lack of education and cultural awareness. It is unfortunate but peolpe will naturally trust and join with "their own kind." People who have a similar ethic and social origin. As their backgrounds are the same, they find it easier to understand and identify with these people. It is a natural human trait. Ufortunately if you hold one group of people to be more trustworthy then you will have to hold all others to be less trustworthy as you'd probably trust a friend more than a strabger on the street. The problems start when we generalise and and group particular characteristics to a race of people. This is racism. The problem is that the generalisation is so wide that it no longer holds any truth and so is considered by the educated and enlightened to be an invalid form of discrimination. We can only overcome this racism by education anr raising awareness. Fortunately this wll be a natural process in glbilisation.

Well god forbid if anything like a bad accident happened n there face was deformed and people didn't like them cuz they where nasty looking then maybe by them feeling what it's like for those people who r judged cuz of how they look on the outside or where there from,them they would stop being so pathetic and ignorant.When r the racist people going to learn that it's just a country there from just like them or it's just a skin colour for crying out loud.Underneath we r all the same.I really don't understand how people can b like that unless they where brought up with ignorance and r just not good people in any way.

well, you should have been hurt hardly by some news and i dont know...no to be honest i know why you have many questions about Turkey and Turks.Well, i am happy when i learn successful people who is Turk in origin.Wouldnt you be happy when you learn some popular,successful people who is Armenian. well ,is it the thing that you call racism really?. Well ,let me tell you a little about my Armenian Maths teacher do you know she was the best one i have ever seen ( i mean as a teacher)All students were wondering Mari till the second class of highschool ,the students who were in her class,would tell us she was perfect ,the graduated students would come back and thank her for the knowladge she had given them .She was great , the best maths teacher i have ever seen.And the popular Armenian Doctor that my aunts used to go,he was very successful also,last week i have gone to hospital for check up,the nurse who take my blood was a sweet girl we had some time while i was waiting doctor we have talked a lot .She warmed me by her smile ( i learnt later she was armenian but by coincidence i didnt have a search i mean)
Why i have written about them well i dont know they remained their races on my soul , i remember them .What i will say for the death of Hrant Dink?,well i am sorry for it, i know a sorry means nothing after death.There are mysterical murderies of writers ,yes world punishes the ones who are thinking,Also France punishes the one who says there is no genocide.I think it is a luxuory to tell your thoughts.Well i think nobody wants to kill you.I am glad to see you in here with your comments .Please write but you know nobody would be pleased to see an insult about their nation ,and i believe there are ways to tell your ideas without insults.

Coz you pretend like u r an innocent person but deep down you are the biggest racist. You also call "Turks" stupid. This would be insulting to any group of "individuals" with common ground.

I am not familiar with that kind of racism but will pay attention better...
I have seen alot of racism from whites to blacks and honestly, it shocks me...I don't have those feelings and don't understand the mentality of those who do.....
It is easier for people to express their hate on a forum like this becasue there is no accountability...I wish it would stop...as a white woman I would really like to appologize for the offenders and ask them to stop, it doesn't help.

Well, I have reported Jean couple of times too. Even if he has hate in his questions or answers, it doesn't matter. The words are important. He can talk about genocide, no problem at all. We are all here to share out thoughts. But SWEARING to people is not accepable, and not allowed in yahoo.
