You will lose, but when you start eating a normal diet again it will go back on. Also eating such a low calorie intake will slow your metabolism. Its better to stick to a 1200 and day regime and exercise for 30 to 40 mins daily

WHAT!??!? You're already a stick figure! 600 calories a day?!? Forget losing weight you're gonna kill yourself hun! That can;t be good for you. And to top it all off you're probably sabotaging yourself. Keep depriving your body like that and your metabolism will slow down. Imagine a car drag racing on a quarter tank of gas. At first it seems cool but when you finally burn out you're screwed. A good way to promote weight loss is by giving your metabolism a boost. Try eating 6 small healthy meals. I know I know it sounds outrageous. But the way I did it was by eating breakfast then my second small meal would be like an apple a banana and a bottle of water. I'd have lunch and maybe a bowl of sliced watermelon for my fourth meal, dinner and then a yorgurt or fruit cup for my sixth meal, no later than 7 o clock. Incorporate excercise, get a jump rope or a tape or something. At the size you are now you'll lose that 5 pounds, cuz I'm sure that's all you need lol, in no time. Good luck, and don't starve yourslef like that hun, its so unhealthy you'll regret it later on in life when you're stuck with gastro intestinal issues. It can happen.

The following guidelines are taken from the NHS direct website, this is how to loose weight healthily. 600 calories a day is too few, your body will go in to starvation mode, slowing down your metabolism, meaning you won't loose weight.

~Using the food diary technique, cut out 500 calories per day from what you're eating. Keeping a diary may have revealed particular times when you overeat, or certain types of food that you are more inclined to binge on. If you don't know how many calories you are eating, start eating 1500 a day.

~Finding other activities to do rather than eat, and not buying foods that will tempt you are obvious first steps in cutting out 500 calories. You should find that you are still able to enjoy a range of tasty options.

~Increase the amount of aerobic exercise you do. We all need to do 30 minutes exercise five times a week to stay healthy, but if you want to lose weight, you should increase this to 60-90 minutes every day.

OK, first of all I would say the 8stone 2pounds is a very low weight to start with, not sure that you need to loose anymore.
Secondly you need to eat a minimum of 1000 calories per day, if you eat any less your body thinks its in a famine, and stores all of the energy it can by taking vital energy away from you internal organs. This means that you will not loose weight, or at least very slowly, and at the same time you will damage your internal organs. Also your body will start to break down your muscle, so that eventually you wont even be strong enough to walk up satirs.

If You really want to loose a few pounds then do it sensibly by eating 1000 calories per day, but i'm not sure you need to at all.

P.S. You are the same hight as me and my recommended weight is 8.5 - 10.5 stones (119-147 pounds) so just remember you are already under weight.

NO!

1) you are at a healthy weight.
2) You don't need to lose weight.
3) 600 calories a day will launch your body into starvation mode, where it will become resistant to weightloss.

You are only on day 2, so permanent damage has not been done. Stop thinking in terms of "quick" and "diet", but rather "long-term", "lifestyle", and "habit". My guess is that you don't have weight to lose, but rather would like to feel healthier or tone up your muscles. Just concentrate on healthy habits, like eating a well balanced diet and getting consistant exercise.

Be happy with what you have!

Yes, but you are eating to little calories to be safe, so watch out.

Your body could enter into starvation mode and actually start storing fat so you will be where you are try to get out of.

Your best bet is to have about 1.200 calories a day, drink plenty of water and work out.

Do cardio exercises (whatever you like and can do) for 30 minutes twice a week (or three times a week), that will speed up your metabolism.
Also do some tone up exercises to tone your muscles, which are the ones that will actually burn your fat. Tone up two times a week for 30 minutes.

If you get used to the exercise and healthy diet, you will not only lose weight but you will not regain it! and also have a much healthier life style and be fit.

No. By eating so few calories you are in fact turning down your metabolism. Your body is in starvation mode and it is saving each precious calorie that it gets. No one should ever take in any less than 1200 calories a day. It's not healthy. If you want to lose weight, increase the amount of activity that you are doing. Not that you should even worry about that, you are actually a little below a healthy weight for your height.

Why would you be on a diet? As for calorie intake.....just stay under 1500. If you want to sestain the wieght you are right now, just do normal excersing, and keep the complex carbs and trans fatty acids to a very minimum.

Hi, 600 calories is not a lot of food, 1,000 - 1,5000 calories depending on your body weight is the normal. By loosing weight quickly you will only put weight back on as quickly. I know it's frustrating when you dont loose loads of weigh but SURE AND STEADY WIN'S THE RACE. Good Luck but please be sensible.

u shouldnt eat 600 cals!!
u will lose muscle and just look flabby and gaunt rather than toned!
to lose weight u should eat between 1200-1600 cals a day and do regular exercise.
eat lots of protein cos ur body will burn it instead of ur muscle and protein and exercise togther help burn fat MUCH quicker.
600 cals is just silly and u could be undernourished and fatigued.
eat healthily and exercise thats a simple equation for weight loss!
good luck.
