I received 50mg Tramadol from an online pharmacy today. The prescription was filled yesterday (2/22/07). There is not expiration date printed on the bottle though. Approximately what would the expiration date of this medicine be?

Don't worry about expiration dates on Ultram. According to a government study, most medicines were still good over 10 years after expiration dates. Exceptions are liquids meds and nitroglycerine.

Expiration dates are required by law to be on the label. For prescription drugs, the expiration date is either one year from the day the prescription is filled or the date on the bottle, whatever is first. The manufacturor's expiration date is determined by the last day of their stability testing.

Expiration dates on prescriptions are usually a year after being filled. They will start to lose there effectiveness after that.

drugs usually have a shelf-life of about a year or so. Possibly longer depending where you store it.

there is no answer, short of contacting the pharmacy that filled it and having them tell you. Before you got it, the medications sat in the manufacturers warehouse for who knows how long......then the distributors.....then the Pharmacy.
