There's Christianity, Catholicism, Marxism, Protestant, Lutheran, Episcopal, Mormon, Jehovah's Witnesses, etc. etc.

Each one has their own views on how the word of the Bible should be carried out.

Surely there can't be different types of Christianity. They all believe in the same God (as do jews and muslims by the way) but just have different rituals. The belief is basically the same but the practices differ. If only there was a way to convince the extremists that its the SAME God...

Well, honest truth (this is going to offend some denominations) but there are only 2 main groups of Christianity - Baptists and Pentacostals. The rest aren't considered true Christian religions even though they think they are.

The difference is:

Baptists believe you can never loose your salvation no matter what you do and they don't believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit like speaking in tongues.

Pentacostals believe you can throw away your salvation and they believe whole heartedly in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

1) Those on the road that leads to eternal life
2) Those on the road that leads to destruction

Do the usual definitions of christianity even matter in the long run?
