a book you might enjoy would be St. Thomas Aquinas's "on evil".

he points out that all people are born with potential and this potential is the fufillment of the good which they are created for, however to use that potential for that which god has not intended it for is evil.

Hitler could have done many great things, with his ability to speak to the cround he could have achieved something damn close to world peace, maybe be it for a short time. but he would have done the world alot of good.

Space programs would be far ahead of where they are now,
world economic situation would be better (not having to rebuild
Germany, Britain, etc) Possibly Israeli, Palestine, and Syrian
problem would be a thing of the past. Humanity would not have
had it's face rubbed in man's-inhumanity/cruelty -to-man, and lots
of other stuff

He thought it was a good cause, which just goes to show how sick he was.
So much of what he did was done through murder and stealing. If he had been "good" he would not have done those things and therefore would not have come close to taking over all of Europe.

Well if his goal was to make the world a place of racial equality.
I think he could have done more for a good cause. He would have had less opposition.

He could have started a recycling business...saved the whales...turned the whole world into VW driving hippies.

Ummm that's a really big "What if"

I dunno, what i (I guess it would depend on the cause. What cause?)? He probably wouldn't have accomplished much. It was post WWI and people were looking for someone to blame. Hitler provided that with the Jews.
