TGIF really means - That's Great! It's Friday!

Heavens, yes. When I was a person of faith, I often expressed the feeling of wonder and admiration I felt when treated to the beauties of nature with the phrase "This is the day the Lord has made" and my relief that the work-week was finally over with "Thank God it's Friday!"
I still say it from time to time, after an especially hard week, even though I'm a secularist now.

I've muttered the phrase TGIF but I have never actually praised the heavens or the creator of man in order to express my jubilation with the idea of Friday. Besides, my Friday is another man's Thursday, and even a luckier Sod's Saturday.

Umm. Friday comes every week.
"It sure is good that God let it be Friday again. I wasn't sure what I was going to do if we skipped right back to Monday"

Yes, I have. I thank God for each day of the week. We are told in scripture that This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Why not thank him?

As you probably know, we atheists say: "Thank no one it's Friday!" There are several TNO Friday's restaurants in NYC.
