It has been 2 months and the Dr. said it was fluid and will eventually go away. It is driving my niece crazy and she can hardly hear.

As a suggestion, pour a little water into the affected ear and quickly turn the head the other way so it spills out the water real quick. This should usually unclog the ear real quickly dragging the stuck fluid out with it.

TWO MONTHS!!!

You really think that's from a plane trip? I don't! Usually plane trip atmosphere changing levels with the effect in the ear goes away after a few hours, and in some bad cases, a few days, NOT TWO MONTHS.

Try telling her two chew gum for maybe 2 hours?

I really don't think it's due to a plane though.

Have her hold her nose, close her mouth and blow. That usually pops the ears. It has worked for me many times.
