Note: ALL haters will be reported, so if you haven't done any study on it, then your answer is "Nothing" and that's fine. However, do not flame Islam, because I am asking what you DO know, based upon actual study, meaning cracking open a book or two. Otherwise, I will report each flame case at least once. There can be more than one report made per flame, so I'm giving a warning beforehand.

If the television has been your Imam, don't answer this question.

If you have done some reading, please share with us what you've read and what you've learned. Thanx.

Patrick H: Your answer is not flaming, and it's honest. I appreciate your honesty, thanx.

The answers so far have been great, thank you!

As to those who do not like Islam and shared their reasons for it, your honesty is appreciated. You are not flaming, you are sharing like adults. What I meant by haters were those who say "Islam sucks a s s" or "Muslims die" and the like. This I can't stand, it clogs up intelligence here. What I meant by "hater" was not someone who disagrees with Islam, or who doesn't like it based upon their studies, I meant the mindless haters who flame vehemently with little or not education about the subject. To prevent such "pollution" here, I had to put the strict note.

Anyway, I love the answers so far, thanx!

Btw, I'm not a Muslim or an Arab. I'm a Baha'i and Hispanic, born and bred in SoCal USA.

What's a "flame case"????

LMAO! TV was your Imam! Nice one!?!?

I'm a critic of Islam and I don't subscribe to it; but, that's after I studied the Qu'aran and the life of Mohammad!

The Qu'aran, itself, didn't strike me as very logical and was best described as confused! There are many reasons why this is so, but I can't explain all of this here! The life of Mohammad, which has a lot of references from the scribes he used, is far from exlempary!

While I certainly do not subscribe to Islam, I am not the kind of person who would hate people just because they belong to some mistaken creed! In fact, I've also stood up for the Muslims when they were unjustly blamed for things they didn't do or wouldn't possibly be able to do.

Of course, your threat of reporting doesn't scare me, and I think you should not have done that, because it shows you Muslims in a bad light as people who threaten all who do not subscribe to their thinking. You can see for yourself the sentiment you unleashed from people who would, usually, not had so much antipathy for Muslims! Unfortunately, it's this attitude of your people that causes more damage for your kind, than anything else.

Ma sala'mah, ya aziza!

[Yes, I also speak Arabic]

Allah hafiz!

I was raised as Roman Catholic, however when I was 21, I started reading up on Islam and met some practicing muslims. A few months after, I became a Muslim, and it has been by far the best thing that has ever happened to me!

Islam is amazing because it's the same message that all of the prophets throughout time have been conveying, and it clarifies the purpose of life. I now know why I'm here on this earth, and strive every day to achieve the highest level in paradise by doing good deeds, worshipping God, and abstaining from doing bad things. I have such a sense of peace, knowing what happens after we die. Before, the thought of death was really depressing, especially that I had no idea what happens after. Now that I'm a muslim, I understand what happens after and have hope in having a better life.

The prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the last prophet sent by Allah (God), and the Holy Qur'an is the last holy book sent to mankind. It has never been changed, and it has been revealed over 1400 years ago. Why would anybody refuse to follow the most recent revelations, since they are not corrupted? Islam makes perfect sense!

I studied Islam for a while and some family members and friends live the lifestyle. I respect that they choose this life and are willing to die for the lifestyle.

Just as we as Christians should be willing to live and die for Christianity. The difference from my studying is we are more lax..

I mean we do not look at the Old Testament as a way of life but from my studying and that was many moons ago you hold onto the Old Testament mentality. We use the New Testament of grace and mercy to justify a lot of the nonsense we as Christians do. Now if we take the grace and mercy and use it with the determination that we should the walk would be greater and less hate because the greatest commandment for a Christian is LOVE.

I got curious one time and sat down to read the Quran. I found a web page that had three different translations to compare. I ended up reading a good bit. I have also taken a class that was an in depth study of a few different religions including Islam. I'd say I have a good grasp on the whole thing.
If you are wondering the results of my study, I am not a fan of Islam.

In college I took Contemporary World Religions, and several other religion classes including the Psychology of Religious Belief, Spirituality and the Mind and Body, and Religious Tolerance and after 9/11 I took a continuing ed class on Understanding the Dynamics of Islam. I should do more I know...I do have many Muslim friends and we do discuss our beliefs which I suppose is good for all of us as well.

You can report all you want.

Muslims seem to think they can say don't listen to the media....just listen to us.

It doesn't work that way.

I read multiple media outlets...and the facts are I don't care one bit about what you believe. I don't care what ANYONE believes.

I care how Islam behaves. And the behavior of the Islamic Mullahs, nations, and large numbers of its people are HORRENDOUS. That's all I need to know.

You can say don't watch the media...did they stage rallies in every Arabic nation where embassies burned down because someone drew a cartoon?

Did the media make up that Arabs were the first to attack jewish villages in israel before it was Israel?

Does the media make up that your own governments have to maintain power by supressing religious crazies?

I don;'t care what any of you say...I don't care what Mohhamed wrote.

I judge you on your actions.

Until Islam controls it's radicals and Mullahs....don't cry when we do it for you.

By the way...how much do you know about other cultures?

How much do you know about the animists that your nations murder in Africa? Or the people being slaughtered in Idonesia?

www.islam-in-focus.com for a true look into Islam from an educated Palestinian. This guy holds a Ph.D in Islamic Studies from Oxford, and a D.Min in Christian Ministry from Luther Rice. I think he probably knows who is correct on the matter. Check him out.

I just heard about 'The Project' a plan of radical Muslims to take-over the West. According to theFBI there are 1200 terrorist groups in 150 cities in the US w/weapons. As much as I can tell it is the goal of the Muslim to make the world all Islam by consent, slavery or death. Also what do you think of the Prophet of Doom?
