With both countries being EU members, you should have no problems buying in Germany and registering it in Greece because both countries have the same emissions standards due to the EU.

As long as you drive through EU member countries - no one will stop you at customs and no one will stop to inspect the car.

Think about it - the car comes via train from the factory into Greece. Only the cars destined for the US or Canada have different emissions and customs standards.

If it's a German car just mount a gun on it and invade Greece.
