I would call it a sweet bread.

Well I guess it would depend on how it was made. I have several different varieties I make. Some have other dried fruits, Chocolate chips (YUM), & nuts. I also have made it using splenda for some family that are diabetics. But in my opinon I would classify it as a sweet. Either way I just love it especially fresh baked. Hope you enjoy some today.

It can be depending on the amount of sugar in it!! try using splenda, it makes it taste great!! Especially since bananas have natural sugars, thats why the bread can taste sweet when you had even more sugar.

Yes, because bananas have a lot of sugar in them. It's natural sugar, but still sugar as far as your body is concerned. If you want to eat it, I would stick to a homemade recipe wherein you can control the amount of excess sugar that goes in.

It would depend on how much sugar you put in it and if you use sugar or Splenda or some sort of sugar subsitute...I think either way, it's on the fence between something considered sweet or not...it's a guilty pleasure without the guilt, how does that sound? :)

No, I'd categorize it as a grain (bread w/ fruit).

Yes, it is more like a cake than a bread. Bread is flour, water, yeast and salt. Cake has oil or eggs in it, flour, sugar and levening.

Yes, at our house as kids we'd have it more for an after-breakfast dessert. It was treated as a sweet.

usually... altho it's usually served as a breakfast or snack item w/ coffee, not usually as a dessert. But it has enough sugar to be a sweet, yes.
