I just recently became a Christian (non-denominational). I was just wondering if that requires me to marry a Christian man?

Required is not the right way to put it. The Bible does say that you shouldn't marry someone that isn't a Christian, but you see, it is simply practical. If you marry anyone of a different belief no matter what religion you or or lack of religion you are, then it can cause problems in the relationship. God isn't trying to keep you from dating someone. He is trying to keep you from the pain that can happen in a relationship with two different faiths.

It's hard to be a new Christian sometimes. If you need any encouragement or just a friend, you can email me anytime.

It's not required, but it's almost always the best to marry a person who shares your core values. It will help you avoid lots of arguments about religion and such. I've seen interfaith marriages work, but usually it's a devout Catholic marrying an open-minded protestant who is very much into Christianiy but doesn't mind raising thier kids Catholic.

Imagine the fun that would happen if a pro-life activist married a Planned Parenthood volunteer. Yes...that would cause slight compatibility issues.

In the New Testament...the Scriptures talk about people being equally yoked together. (Same core beliefs.)

2 Corinthians 6:13-15 (New Living Translation) 13 I am asking you to respond as if you were my own children. Open your hearts to us!

14 Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? 15 What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil[a]? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever?

1 Co 7:39 A wife is bound during all the time her husband is alive. But if her husband should fall asleep [in death], she is free to be married to whom she wants, only in [the] Lord.
Only in the Lord means a fellow believer so you can not be misled. This is Jehovah God's arrangement.

You don't have to be with a Christian man. The bible recommends you be with a Christian because your beliefs will differ but then it also says you could lead him to Christ one day and it's perfectly fine.

It's not a 'requirement' but it's advised s you both have common ground. If you don't it will eventually cause a problem.

No, there is not a "requirement". But if you are truly vested in your faith, wouldn't you want to be married to someone that you could share that faith with?

There is no requirement, per se.

However, if you want to experience your faith to its fullest extent, it's likely that you be able to do so with someone who shares your faith and beliefs.
