How do you give gr1/4 IM?

posted as a q in chem cal. morphine sulfate gr 1/4 IM q.3–4h p.r.n., pain
It may be as simple as converting but not sure. Just need to know how to convert mg to mL. since one is a weight and one is volume.

**1 grain is about 64 mg.
** gr 1/4 therefore is 16 mg.
**If the stock of morphine is 15 mg/ml:

Dose: SD/SH X Q
: gr 1/4 / 15 mg/ml
:16 mg / 15 mg / ml
: 16 / 15 ml
: Round off the answer and the dose will be 1 ml.

What is the strength of the Morphine ampoule or syringe in milligrams per cc?
A grain is 60 mgm
a 1/4 grain is therefore 15 mgm
