no, I keep mine either on the kitchen table(like grandparents used to do) or in the spice cabinet

Do you mean original Tabasco or brands of generic "Louisiana Hot Sauce" which are less hot and usually thickened up? I find original Tabasco keeps its oomph after opening but not most "Louisiana Hot Sauce" brands, neither Tabasco Green or Tabasco with Garlic.

I love that stuff, and I never refrigerate mine. I just keep it in the cupboard. And so far no ill effects over the years.

No, but in Louisiana it doesn't last long enough to make a difference! They eat Louisiana Hot Sauce on anything. ;)

No, it doesn't have to. but look at it this way even if it is cold it'll still be hot. SHAKE and BAKE
