But you asked how the misconceptions had changed and for the two women they did not. But the families saw plenty. 'God's Warrior' spent the week being unhappy, judgmental and trying to make everybody do things her way. The Agnostic bonded with the christian kids, listened to their views and thoughts and had a great time.

I lived as an atheist for 16 years. An Agnostic for 2 years, a wiccan for 1 year and a christian for 8 years. So, I would say that that atheists would be laughing all day long, and christians wouldn't make it a day without praying...

Jeff my expensive, in case you lived my existence i think you would be Christian. The reasoning for this is my parents and how we've been raised. My mom's nickname is St. Millie. We have been raised interior the church. this is significant. besides the incontrovertible fact that, the examples my candy mom set for us became the main suitable impression. She is loving, style and nonjudgmental. She is thoroughly sturdy and non secular. She no longer in hassle-free terms "talks the communicate" she "walks the walk". She spend maximum human beings of her time interior the church and doing sturdy works for others. She additionally likes to be stupid, snigger, shaggy dog tale and have a sturdy time. in view that i know your mom is a Christian female, i might stay Christian. that's a secret to me why you do no longer "have self assurance". i know you're a superb, worrying individual. Your mom and that i've got not given up wish which you will some day be pulled decrease back into the "easy". :) ((Jeff))

The atheists would Feel and Experience God instead of just talking about His absence. They would feel the comfort in the Holy Spirit and they wouldn't want to live without that any longer. If they had my memories, there would be no doubts left and the truth would be revealed by the things I have seen and the gifts I have received. They could stop fighting and wrestling with the World and with themselves!! They wouldn't be anywhere Near Perfect and that would finally be all right.

In all honesty they probably wouldn't change they'd be steadfastly holding onto their own beliefs in that single day and constanltly reaffirming their beliefs and where they stand in their belief system.
Notice people prefer to hold onto their misconceptions for as long as possible so that on some level they aren't wrong?Thats what I think would be the case in this hypothetical situation.

They might be surprised at how rarely I think about god/religion or the fact that I am an atheist.

They might also be surprised at some of the moral things I do - or more accurately the things I don't do for moral reasons.

But in the end, I think they'd just be completely freaked and repelled by the thoughts that are in my head. And not just them - ANYONE in my head would run screaming.

I am no different from them, except for my faith. They'd see how some days, I'd probably go insane if it wasn't for my faith. Just because a person chooses to believe or not believe doesn't mean that they were raised poorly, or that they don't share other beliefs. Believe or not believing doesn't make you a bad person either way. I chose to believe and have faith. I wont try to get you to believe if you don't.

Ok - Monica L- How can you call yourself a Christian and tell athiests to F-off? Aren't Christians supposed to be forgiving and non-judgemental?

My life would probably reconfirm all the christian stereotypes. As I've said before, I'm a terrible person - a lazy, binge-drinking, bad tempered slob, and I"m the first to admit it.

They would learn that I don't worship Satan (because I don't believe in Satan) or ride on a broom stick. They would learn that I am just as normal as the next person. Of course, they would have to be an open-minded christian.

Hmm, I'm not sure what the stereotype is for me. I live a pretty normal life.
