Do you have a gift or special powers?

If so how do you know and do you think heritage plays a role?

I have several. I know because I have been called upon to use them. In some cases heritage has played a role...others come from God. twobe

my gift is the ability to detect BS when someone is speaking. It is an uncanny ability, and I've been blessed with it since about the mid 80s, although it's possible that it dates back to the early 70s without my actually having realized I had such a power.

For instance, whenever my brother in law talks about how he does so much at work, and the place would shut down without him there to do everything, I instantly know he is full of it. Not to mention the fact he is an assistant manager at Burger King.

Other examples include being able to point to exact locations during Presidential speeches when Bush is full of it, when politicians say they are not going to raise taxes, when infomercials say they can make you lose 30 pounds in 30 days, when ever Barry Bonds talks...

I'm telling you, it's more of a curse than a gift. Just once I'd like to be able to believe some of the crap these people are shoveling. Alas, it is not so...

I can see, and sometimes experience, ghosts and spirits. I've been able to ever since I was a child though they don't happen very often.

Its kind of hard to miss things like my father walking into my room but I could see right through him, the grandfather I never met standing at the bottom of the stairs (died before I was born), and objects moving when no one is there but me and I know I didn't do it but watched it happens.

I don't think heritage plays a roll. No one else in my family can do this and I scare the daylights out of them so I learned to keep my mouth shut a long time ago.

I do believe that I have a spiritual gift that God gave to me. Others in my family are gifted in different ways so I don't know that heritage plays a role in it.

God gave me a spiritual gifts which i am practicing in the church.speaking in tongues is one that i received and teaching is another God-given gifts to me.we can discover our gifts by asking God.I believe that all christians have different gifts from God The only thing we could do is to develop that kind of gift for the glory of God and for the church (born-again believers).
i've no idea if heritage plays a role in it but there are some people who are gifted in singing and when they got married and have kids one of their kids has also a talent in singing.

to have a gift there must be a gift giver. Right? I mean, what kind of gift just shows up out of the blue? So the better question would be who is the gift giver. I believe we are all gifted by the creator. Get to know the creator and the giver of gifts and He will tell and show you your gifts. After all it is not about you but about hIm. peace.

My powers are waning. But I could knock back a 12 pack when I was about 14 years old. Now I don't drink at all and I sleep too much.

I believe we were all granted the gift of intuition, but it exists on different levels in everyone. Not sure about special powers....but intuition, if practiced and tuned.....and worked on like a job....would give you the same pay rate as Sylvia Brown.

I have a special power that lets me see through ppl's bullsh*t!! Don't ask me how but I know when ppl are full of sh*t so I stay away from Christan's and pretty much anyone who comes in the name of some God.

P.S I smell lots of bullsh*t in different ppl's answer to this question.
