If instead of 90 pound runway models, we saw women with curves. Not fat in an unhealthy way, but round-figured. With breasts and thieghs and booty... if that looks was EVERYWHERE the way skinny is EVERYWHERE, would you be more prone to relax about your self image?

No, I have never followed trends. Some people look fine with a few extra pounds but I hate the way I look when I'm overweight. I guess it comes from growing up thin. I never had a problem until adulthood. I don't want to be skinny. I think the athletic look is more attractive.

At this stage of my life I just want to be as healthy as I possibly can be. If it means losing weight, I'll do that, if it meant gaining weight I'd do that.
And FYI - Although the fashion industry has pushed the super thin image as the standard of beauty, and many women have bought into it, the reality is that most women are not that thin. What the industry has done is made females dissatisfied with their appearance. and willing to sacrifice their health for an unrealistic ideal.

i dont remember it ever being fat as stylish... but heyy, more and more people are what ppl like to steriotype as "fat", so eventually...maybe. or maybe they will still try to push the whole skinny deal....honestly... no one should be fat, its the food doing it if u look back on the 70s everyone was a nice weight, skinny but normal uk, and they only "fat" people were the ones with the genes...

If fat was in, we'd all want to be fat.. being obese isn't healthy, and neither is being too thin, but since being a model is ideal to almost everyone, we go to great lenghts to be skinny anyway... our idea of "stylish" is built up by media and society..

No. I don't want to be think because everyine else is thin. I want to be healthy, and look good. I find no problem with thicker people, not at all. I just personally know that I look better at a lower body weight then I do at the weight that makes me really curvy.

Absolutely. I want to be thin enough to be comfortable in my body, no aches and pains, but otherwise, I would rather eat than starve, and I would like to eat with pleasure.
When my sister and brother in law lived in the Sudan, being fat was a sign of beauty and prosperity. It was lovely.

Probably not. Waif thin is mainstream and I don't want to be that. But then again waif thin is repulsive AND unhealthy so my answer is maybe.
I think they get that thin because they are abused by their bosses constantly lying w/ a straight face saying, "You need to lose weight!"
I would sue if anyone did that to my daughter.

No, because excess weight causes a lot of health problems (such as heart disease, diabetes, etc.) But I would not want to be overly skinny either.
