This is a solely a personal thing that I did at one time, and it worked great for me. You could give this a try..

PUSHUPS:
Do at least five sets of pushups, each one to exhaustion. When you do your first set, have your hands out wide. With each set, bring your hands in closer. By the fifth set, your hands should be only a few inches apart. Then

PUSHUPS, FEET ELEVATED: Same principles, wide hands to narrow. This will workout your upper chest as well (similar to a incline bench) but have your feet elevated above the rest of you..perhaps your feet resting on a chair behind you. Trust me, its not as easy as it sounds.
