No, it's not time to dissolve the Union. As 50 tiny independent nations, we would quickly be overshadowed by China, India, Russia, and other larger countries with larger economies. Dissolution of the Union would be disasterous, not only to us, but to the world.

What we need is to go back to the original intent of the Constitution, shrink the government back to a manageable size, focus on the core mission as stated by the Founding Fathers, and try to elect people who put the good of the nation ahead of their own personal gain. Unfortunately, people who put the good of the nation first don't go into politics, they go into the Military.

The"Union" as you call it---IS the thing !! And, for my part, will receive my devotion until any ending that God may choose !!
It is where the foundations are---it is where traditions lay--it is the entity that was paid for in blood by our forefathers ---and it is the sum of countless dreams and aspirations !! And, it is the focus of the ideal that is the -----United-----States of America and any detractor of THIS will immediately have a foe in ME !!

And, it is because of this stance that I am as adiment as I am on issues that pull and tear at its fabric !! I am VERY concerned that within literally no time at all -- the current administration and its "tag-along" congress has seen fit to allow the floodgates of unchecked illegal immagration into the country---and have made MAJOR moves to delute the nation's sovereignty by lowering our
status to "membership" in another TYPE of UNION ---one that is NOT of national pride or tradition ---as the North American Trade Union--- it --- at its heart---smacks to be treasonous in its inceptions AND in the goals that it sets out to envoke !!!

Bruce I don't think you are speaking for most people, I think you need to get out more. Take a trip across this Great Land and find out if your idea will fly with "Most" Americans. Because as of now I think your the only one who would want to dissolve this United States of America.

"The United Nations is the most corrupt and worthless organization in the world and the biggest waste of money in human history. The United Nations does not prevent wars, it creates wars because, like the old League of Nations, it inspires a spirit of appeasement among the more peaceful countries who, in a childish fashion, believe that talking in the UN is enough to deter more warlike nations. Since WW2 wars don't get finished. We get these endless half wars that fester. And why? Because the stupid UN keeps getting in the road of any war ever being won and ending."

1. The United Nations voted off the United States from its HumanRights Committee due to its "abuses of human rights," and simultaneously appointed Sudan, a country in which slavery still exists, according to the British Broadcasting Corporation.

2. The United Nations allows Syria to sit on its Security Council, which harbors the terrorist group Hezbollah that was responsible for the murder of more than 250 U.S. Marines in Beirut, Lebanon.

3. Libya, the head of the U.N. Human Rights Commission, has no free elections, no freedom of speech and no religious freedom.

4. In 1993, the U.N. Economic and Social Council granted consultant status to the North American Man/Boy Love Association (advocates of child molestation) and a Dutch group Vereniging Martijn (which promotes the use of children as sex objects). These groupsheld this status for two years before the United Nations finally took it away.

5. And here comes the sucker punch - one-half of U.N. funding comes from our pockets - your tax dollars.

6. In 1971, the United Nations expelled Taiwan and welcomed the communist Chinese government, which was responsible for more than 35 million murders (the councilmembers were noted by Henry Tanner of TheNew York Times as dancing in the halls following the vote tocelebrate the anti-American victory).

7. The United Nations insisted it was "powerless" in stopping Saddam Hussein from stealing $3 billion from the Oil for Food Program to build luxurious palaces, while citizens were being starved to death (blamed on the U.S. sanctions).

8. The United Nations failed to prevent the Buddhist statues in Afghanistan from being desecrated by the Taliban.

9. The United Nations has been playing cat and mouse with Saddam Hussein for 12 years, as it passed 17 resolutions that did absolutely nothing.

The United Nations is an example of a precious idea gone wrong, implemented wrong and operating wrong. Even though the United Nations was intended to seek order, it is in reality a powerful tool of modern-day "scarfaces," old communist leftovers and moral relativists.

You're a flaming psycho. Seriously, the country has it's problems, but it's nothing compared to say.... Mexico. Why would we want to take the chance that Mexico would take any of our country? That would be the ultimate out- of- the- pan- and- into- the- fire situation.....
