Everytime I buy pita bread from Trader Joe's it always spoils and molds. The last time I bought it I forgot to put it in the fridge right away, but it was only sitting out for 2 days. After I realized that I put it in the fridge, but couple of days later I found mold on it. Maybe I shouldn't buy pita bread from Trader Joe's.

I have the same exact problem. So what I do is as soon as I bring them home, I separate them into frozen baggies. I put one in each baggy and freeze them. When I know that I might like one that day, I take it out and put it on the counter to thaw out. Perfect everytime.

As soon as I get home, I put the pita bread in the fridge, and I've never had a problem with it. Even if it's only a few days, the mold process has already begun so it's too late to get it into the fridge to keep it longer. I would recommend just putting it directly into storage in the fridge.

Freeze the pitas until you're ready to use..in freezer bags. I would also suggest another brand other than Trader Joe's* See how that works.

Actually all bread products have a short "fresh" shelf life. Breads that mold that fast are the breads I would choose because they don't have all the preservatives the "store" brands have to keep them "fresh". Freeze the Pita's, microwave 15 sec. when you need one
