Buddhism is the only religion that has pro-actively tried to distance itself from politics so it has avoided becoming involved in political oppression or human rights violations unlike Christianity or Islam.

each human rights record that were recorded in those societies haven't to any extent further some thing to do with faith. guy is evil, even if a non secular guy or a non-non secular guy. lots of the atrocities dedicated interior the days of the Roman Catholic rule will wonder you in case you study the historic past of the Christian Church. lots of the killings taking position interior the call of religion by non secular fans will also surprised you.guy himself is his own problem. He made possibilities which impacts him besides as influence others round him. in effortless words at the same time as a guy turns to Christ will he obtain a clean life which will make him to be diverse from different adult men.

Either Christianity or Islam. Certainly a lot of people were killed during the Crusades, the witch burnings, and the Inquisition etc and a lot of people were oppressed but I think Islam has been playing catch-up of late.

It is a difficult question to answer because you have to separate religion from culture and politics. I think that Islam is used as an excuse to oppress women and minorities. I am not referring to the wearing of veils here but such crimes against humanity as state sanctioned domestic violence, honour killing and punishing women for crimes committed by male relatives. None of these are sanctioned by the Koran but are a part of some cultures.

As for the best, modern pagan groups, Buddhism, Hinduism perhaps.

I think some of you need to find out about the certain type of religion you seem to or should I say 'assume' as the worst or the best human rights for women etc.

Learn the religion not from the people of that religion. That way, you're vision isn't blurred by misonceptions.

Do you mean what culture, because i'm pretty sure that if you were to ask certain Muslim women whether they feel oppressed they would say no, in fact they feel liberated from not having to conform to a certain stereotype of what constitutes femininity. (Size Zero spring to mind?) - Secondly i don't dispute the fact that Muslim countries for example Afghanistan, when it was under the Taliban regime were very extreme - but i think 9/11 proved that!

Druidism has not discriminated against women or gays in 4000 years. For the worst I'd say Christianity.

They all suck. Every single one of them puts women in the back seat. If I had to pick though, I would agree that Buddhism has the best and Islam the worse

thats not right islam has given lots of right to women. Infact do you know that in islam - during the day of judgement children will be called after their mother's name. and mother comes before fathers as they say if you look after your mother you will definetely get pardon. and women are more respected in Islam. If you go to any Islamic country you will notice that men will give way to women and also women do not have to que at the ticket window (etc.) as men will let them go first. go to the islamic countries and you will notice the respect paid to women. I am just returing from one after a year.
