I'm an athiest. I spent 18 years going to a Christian church and therefore know that these two things are the hingepoint upon Christian belief. Can someone who is not an athiest please explain these paradoxes?
1. If god is omnicient, then why did he allow Satan to fall from heaven? Shouldn't he have known it was going to happen?
2. If heaven is the perfect place without sin, how could Satan have become jealous of God's power in the first place?
3. The bible says that God gave Adam and Eve the choice to eat from the fruit of knowledge, but told them they shouldn't. If he's omnicient, that would mean that he knew from the beginning what their choice would be. Why would he pretend to give us choice?
4. If God is omnicient, then he knows every decision that each of us will make for the rest of our lives. Why bother having people live out their lives? Why not just send us all to heaven or hell right now?
5. If God is omnipotent, why is it that he hasn't struck Satan down?
Thx!

Sorry, I don't accept the answer "God allows Free Will". If he knows the outcome then it's not free will. That's like watching a horse race, then watching a recording of it later and saying the other horses have a chance of winning this time around. God is either omnicient or he's not. If that's the case there is no "free will"
As for the agnostic's response, thanks, but I was looking more for a christian's argument to the paradoxes. I know that religion is about faith, but usually there are counter-arguments to any posed question. I just wish more people had responded.
