I wanna use it in a story and have a non-Jew character in it recite the kaddish.

It was clearly not written for them to say "upon us and all of Israel", for example. Kaddish is a very holy prayer and shouldn't be recited for a play.

I'm wondering why you would have a non-Jew in your story do that. If you want to include this for a story, please find out about the reasons why Kaddish is recited to begin with, and get an English translation of the prayer so you can understand what it is about.

Why would a non Jew want to recite a Jewish prayer?
I don't think they ask in shul if you are Jewish, but what would possess a non Jew to go to services, and recite the kiddush?

Yeah why not? You don't need to timidly ask the Jews whether it's okay. There is nothing special about their religion.

I seriously doubt that its encouraged.

but if your in a synagogue they will not throw you out if you wish to do so.

ah for a story. I would suggest you change that part. It would simply sound off to educated readers, unless is for a school project and no one else would read it.

You can't be a part of the minyan, but I don't think most will frown upon it along as you are serious.
