go out of their way to keep the number 666 from coming up?
example: in the grocery store the other day, this lady's amt came up to 6.66 so she turned and picked up some candy bar and added it so it gave her a different number.

now my question is, why dont they go out of their way to obtain the number 777 ? (777 is supposed to be the lords number - 666 is satans number representing imperfection - Trinity vs. Unholy Trinity?)

Do you have any idea how hard it is to cause a certain number to come up at the till?

There would be a riot every time you came to the store. They would have to give you your own check out counter.

Everytime you came in the store they would announce "777's a crowd!"

I have seen non-christians do the same thing as well. My mom is a good example. If 666 came up she would freak out and then lay the candy bar down. Always the freak out first. It's just superstition. Doens't make it right for Christians to do it but some still do.

One of my friends, who is a Christian, and I love her to death, she is a great person, but she was telling me that if I didn't let the light shine in my daughter's mouth before six months old, she would die or something stupid like that.

I told her I never studied that in God's word at all. She is one of those people that sends a billion forwards because some person is going to appear in front of her a kill her if she doesn't. To me, I think she is too old to be believing in those things but I know we are all at different places. I just love her and others like I am supposed to.

It is a symbolic gesture for some. It is a way of saying "yea" for God, and "boo" for the devil. Humans have a lot of obsessive behavior like this, not just religious people.

To answer the second part, it's much easier to change an undesirable result than to obtain a desired one.

ROTFLMBO...I have seen people do this too. The same with 13. Since I am not into symbolic numerology its just a good laugh for me.

It is the mark of the beast in Revelation. I'm not worried about that number in everyday life.

How do you know she's a Christian? Most Christians aren't superstitious....It's actually people of no or other religion who are scared of things like that.
