Her boyfriend keep on replying to this pretend email and likes to get to know her unknowingly. When she ask her boyfriend about it in personal if he is talking seriously to somebody in the net. He keeps denying it. Says that he is always faithful.

she needs to take it the next level and try and meet him for sex... then you'll know if he's a cheat or not

Well, he's not exactly cheating....but it sounds as though he's working up to it! In fact the relationship sounds like it has some serious trust issues so she should maybe come clean and tell him she knows what he's been doing. She's been a little deceptive too so they've both got things to be sorry for...they should use that as a jumping off point to try talking and seeing if they can resolve some of the problems they're having.

It depends on the content of the exchanges going on. Were they just friendly casual emails, or was there talk of sex, hooking up, did he deny or neglect to admit he was involved with someone...

Chatting or emailing others isn't necessarily cheating, unless the content of that communication is inappropriate for someone who is in a committed relationship with someone else.

However, regardless of whether or not he's doing anything wrong, she apparently has trust issues. Until that is dealt with, they'll never have a very solid relationship.

He might just be having a 'cyberflirt' to boost his ego. (Sad-I know!) But if he's actually wanting to meet up,then yes,he is a cheater.
Personally,I think going behind her back flirting with other women is cheating-even if there is no intention of meeting. Unfortunately, men's minds are wired up in a completely different way!

If she is trying to catch him out thwen she clearly doesn't trust him. If he is only chatting to her then what is the problem. Has he tried to make a date with her? If no, then what is the harm in talking to another woman? If yes, then she should get out now, or maybe this is symptomatic of him feeling trapped in a relationship with someone who is jealous? Maybe she isn't? I don't know! I've lost myself now! LOL
Tell the two of them to talk about their REAL feelings for each other with honesty and the truth will come out in the end.

he isn't being honest with her. she should just leave him b/c she already knows or start asking him questions like...do you have a g/f? do you want to go out some time?...things like that and see how he responds to them!

he's being dishonest..
i don't think that talking to someone else can be considered cheating..

um.. she should probably just move on as she probably won't be able to trust him now

Maybe he knows it's her and he's trying to teach her a lesson to quit snooping around on him.

It's not cheating, it's lying. Tell her to kick him to the curb.

In my opinion, that is lying. And lying is definitely NOT a positive trait.
