I thought the samething when my cat got sick right after I was sick. I was assured by my vet that there are VERY few viruses that can be passed between human and animal.

Best thing you can do is take your dog to the vet and have him checked out. Chances are he just has a cold like you and will be given medicine and will be feeling better in a few days.

It sounds like your puppy has an upper respiratory infection... and no he cant get it from you... more than likely he got it while he was outside... you need to get him to the vet so they can give him antibiotics before it leads to kennel cough or even pneumonia (which can be fatal!) Did you get him from the shelter or a breeder with other animals?? this is another way that he could have gotten it.. I hope this was helpful!!

Dogs don't get colds and flu the same as we humans do. There is a dog flu but it involves gastic distress. It sounds like your dog may have allergies. Get rid of all air fresheners, scented candles and carpet fresheners to start with.

Give him some liquid Benadryl. You will need a syringe that you can get at the vet for free. Ask the vet how much to give him. They go by his size , weight & age, At the dollar store you can get the generic for children that is as good as the brand name. I know because I give it to my dogs

No, human viruses don't pass to animals. however, if it's bad he may need to see the vet. Your puppy could just have allegies, or he could be sick with something.
