Some dogs are smart enough to know that the PetSmart store is for pet supplies! My golden retriever always loves to go there and she's always been well behaved there too. Though I know she has her temptations when we go down the chew-toy isle....LOL.
But really now, if you think about it, some people live with their dogs as if they were kids, and in a sense they are just that! Pets are definitely wonderful companions given to us in life, though we know they're not allowed everywhere we go, they always want to go wherever you go anyways. I think PetSmart came up with a great idea to allow people to bring their pets shopping with them for their supplies. A lot of dogs like to be social too and not excluded from the outside world from their home. I don't see why anyone shouldn't include their dog from as many possible outings as they can. Most dogs just don't like to be home alone...Traveling with them allows them, in their own sense, to see the world too! That's why most people say "man's best friend" which also can be a woman's too!

It's hard to find places that allow pets. Taking pets in public,
like PetSmart is GREAT Socialization for the dog!!

I have no idea.
I would never take one of my dogs to a Petsmart or Petco. First of all, because they'd have to endure one hour + of just sitting in the car. Secondly, not everybody has enough sense to keep their dog at home if they are exhibiting signs of illness so it can make for a hotbed for illnesses. Third of all, I know exactly what they'd do if they ever stepped foot in that store : pull everything in sight off the shelves. That and I've seen owners let their dogs run wild around the store and would prefer not to put my furry family members in a possibly dangerous situation.
But there are some ups to taking them. Everything that was mentioned above.

It is a store for Pets hence the name...dogs deserve to be able to go into a store that is geared for pets rather then sit in the car or stay at home. It allows them to socialize with other dogs and people.

I only take my dogs with me if I already have them with me and it is on the way to the vet or park. Some people do it to show off or just because they can. The dogs really love the car ride and it give you quality time with them.

give me one reason why we shouldnt take our dogs to petsmart for a shopping after all its a pet shop mine all love going one big adventure

I was at the vet yesterday and there was a little 11 week old puppy who had caught kennel cough by contact with another pet at Petco. I guess you need to be careful when taking your pet to the pet store with you.

Well besides the statement from the person right above me, which I completely agree with. My dog picks out his own chew toys and treats. It's a place that they can get out and meet new friends.

Why not? This is one of the few places you can take your pup. Also, they are able to meet other dogs and try on the clothes before you buy them!!

It's fun and a good way to interact with other dogs and people. My dog likes to pick out her own toys.
