Harder, it's an irritating load of nonsense. It's also the root cause of much sexual discrimination and homophobia.

I gave up religion years ago. My life is much better without it.
Why? No religious person lives up to the demands of his religion, therefore he has doubts about what will become of his "soul". There are darn few who don't break the commandments or other rules of the church, therefore there's that doubt in their minds.
Some believe that all will be forgiven. If that's true, they have to ask, " What is the purpose of life on earth ?" Why weren't we born directly into heaven ? The answer is always that earth is the testing place to determine if we're worthy of heaven. If that's so what sense does it make if everybody is forgiven, and everybody passes the test ?
All of this is too far fetched for me. I believe in no supernaturals. I came from nature and will return to nature. To me, this is a pleasant thought.
There are too many unanswered questions with religion. For instance, if God is almighty ( able to do anything ) why didn't he get his word to everybody throughout the world ? There should be only one belief.

Easier. Religion gives a person hope, hope that nothing else in this world can give. Hope that there is something more besides this life. It also keeps honest people honest. Like a lock on a door keeps the bad guys out. The same lock gives us reason to be good and kind. To break that lock means guilt and shame will come upon us and we know that because of our religion.

It makes life easier knowing that trying to live by God's rules as defined in the Bible will result in me having a better life here on earth and my faith in Jesus will get me to heaven. The Bible is life's instruction manual, and by following it we can avoid many of the mistakes that have caused people to bring themselves harm.

If you asked a gung-ho psychiatrist with utmost scientific beliefs he would tell you that there is proof in the human brain that relies on religious thoughts (even near death experience) as a way to relieve stress and the fear of dying...that we in fact, create mystic or spiritual/religous phenomena right in our own little minds....to make our life easier....unfortunately it makes other's lives harder.....because people end up really believing it all.

practising the true religion is difficult when we talk about flesh.

because you have to do a lot of sacrifices.

Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it good people would do good, and bad people would do bad, but for a good person to do evil? That takes religion!
