Okay, So I got my first speeding ticket, if I go to court and the cop doesn't show up thus resulting in me not having to pay the ticket, will it go on my insurance record? Of course, Im trying to avoid the folks finding out. My insurance was recently renewed in November. Will it increase before my six months is up? If the munciple doesnt show up and I ultimately dont have to pay it will they ever find out?

Serious answers only please. Please answer all of the questions asked.

you're off scott free if the cop doesn't show.
Reason?
there is no witness against you.

nothing happens since you're innocent. No record of this is kept.

This is just one reason that you should always go to court to fight it. at the very least, the judge might (usually) drop the points and make you pay the fine. In this case, the insurance co. doesn't find out about that either.

If you are under 18, your parents will most likely have to accompany you. If the cop doesn't show up, then in most states the ticket gets thrown out and the insurance companies only know if you tell them.

In the meantime, you will have to talk to the District Attourney, and your parents will probably be required because the state cannot legally do anything with a minor without parental knowledge.

Stop getting caught speeding, basically. It's not that nobody speeds, but part of learning the rules of the road is knowing when you can get away with it and when it's not safe.

If you live in a large city he will be there. Courts today are linked to the officer's schedule. Many Police Departments set several days of an officers schedule aside for trial work and the courts will set your hearing for that date. If you are in a small City he may not show, but- because its small his schedue may be loose and he can make it.

The days of the officer not showing are thinning out. Pray for a local bank robbery.

As for renewal... you are renewed. But in six months you can likely expect a surprise in the next premium.

BUT.. one ticket isn't that bad. We all get them. But a second will ruin your day.

question 1) No. Dont count on the cop not showing up
question 2) No. It will increase when you renew.
question 3) No. Dont count on this happening either.

Cops generally have their tickets come up in court on the same day. So if he misses yours he will miss everyones.

I work for my local Sheriff's department. The only reason the officer might not show for court is if he forgets, which rarely happens. As for the question about your insurance, I can't answer that. No, your insurance won't increase before your 6 months is up.

normally you can waive your first ticket by paying the fine and not have to show up in court your insurance carrier checks your driving record at least 4 times a year and adjusts your payments if you have any tickets or accidents if to many or points have been received you may lose your insurance coverage and be put at high risk insurance levels good luck

if the cop doesn't show you will be found innocent...there will be no fine or points...but REALLY that is NOT going to happen since the Court date will be the same for all the tickets the cop has written during that time frame...if he doesn't show there will be many people getting off...DON'T COUNT ON IT!

Will not go on your record if you go to court and are found innocent, which will probably be the case if the cop is ordered to go to court and doesn't show.

just pay a lawyer like $200. they will toss the city some money and pocket the rest. the court in hand will down your moving violation to a non-moving violation, causing no points to ur license and the insurance companies could careless about non-moving. trust me. i have done this loop hole for about 16 speeding tickets :) i have a real heavy foot on the interstate he he.
