Yes it is, and it can only be one, because God is one, Christ is one.
The faith is one it's explicit from the new testament.
Jesus founded the Catholic Church before he died, after that thousands of people have founded their own churches and needless to say no one of them had the Authority from God to do that.
Besides many know that the Catholic Church is the true Church of Jesus but can they deal with the consequences?

No. The word church comes from the Greek word Eklessia which means called out or seperated ones. The church in the book of Acts was vastly different than any churches we have today. The early chuch met in homes, and not "church buildings" that we meet in now. There is a reference to the early church renting out a pagan temple to meet in, in the book of Acts but that is the only mention in the Bible.
Today our focus seems to be on the way we "do" church and not what it means to be the church. We look at the service, how it is ran, how the pastor preaches, how the worship sounds and the roll the congregation plays in all of this. We seldom look at the roll we as the church must play. The chuch is not a building, not a meeting place and not a denomination. The church as described in the Bible is the "body of Christ".
Sadly the Catholic church, the Protesent chuch and all the other Bible believing churches in the world today are poor examples of the "true church". The only way to find out if your church is following the new testament church, is to look at the people who attend. Do they love God, do they join Him in loving others?
No one church can fill the roll of the church. Paul uses the human body as an analogy for the church of Christ. Each member of the body has a distinct roll to play for the greater good of the whole. The hand is independent of the foot, the eye is independent of the ear and so on. This independence however doesn't seperate them from the body, they just have seperate functions, and purposes. So it is whith Christ. We as the church all have different gifting and purposes wihtin the "body of Christ." These differences should not cause division among us.
I encourage you to look beyond denominations and find a church in which you can serve in whatever way the Lord has gifted you. Realize that it is the people of God that make up the church, and not a building or an organization. The "true church" must be a living organism and not an organization built by man.
Blessings!

1. The Catholic Church neither condones nor publishes nor uses child pornography. If you area talking about the Kansas priest who had child pornography, that's one guy, not the whole Church. And even if there were 100 guys or 1000 guys or 10000 guys, it still wouldn't be the whole Church. 2. The Catholic Church does not teach ANYTHING that is incompatible with Scripture. 3. Priestly celibacy is recommended in 1 Corinthians 7. 4. Yes, Peter was married, as are some Catholic priests. So? Paul wasn't married as are most other priests. Big whoop. Celibacy is still recommended for priests in Scripture and the normal state for Catholic priests in the Roman rite. 5. Celibacy is a gift indeed! And if a priest isn't married, then it fits your idea that celibacy should only apply when you're not married. 6. Many priests did want to marry and have children, but they willingly and freely sacrificed that desire in order to serve Christ. The Lord honors them for that sacrifice. Why don't you?

No.
The Catholic Church has added so much to what was taught that it is hard to see where it all started.
One of the things that comes to mind is that the Bible was meant to minister to all people, even the most uneducated. For years the Catholic church fought the Bible being translated and even after it was they continued to do things in Latin so the average man could not understand. I know they do everything in native tounges now, but it was a long fought battle.
Keep in mind that is just one example of why I feel this way. There are many more reasons that I don't have the time to go into. Read the writings of Paul and use that as your guide for answers.

Catholic Christian here:
I converted to the Catholic Church 2 years ago at the age of 30. I did so after an extensive study of the Christian faith and finally attending RCIA. I can say without a doubt that the Catholic Church is the original church founded by Christ. You will obviously get some very colorful answers to your question, but I'd like to refer you to a very good website that presents answers to many common questions someone might have about the Church and Her beliefs.

Well if the thousands of protestant denominations are to be taken as evidence, the ability of independent groups to make their own determination about what is and isn't best following the new testament seems pretty hard to know. What isn't hard to know is the passing of "apostolic authority by the laying on of hands." It's possible there has been a direct transmission of ordination from the apostles to the priest in the local diocese. Conversely, it is a certain that no such apostolic lineage resides in the local AME, COGIC, or any other protestant church no matter how many of their members declare themselves "apostles."
So if apostolic authority is your standard, the Roman and Greek Church have it, and possibly other churchs of ancient lineage like the Copts, Marionites, Nestorians (even though the Romans call them heretics) may have apostolic succession. it's even possible the Lutherans and Episcopalians have it. But if your standard is a vague notion of a church that follows the New Testament as you see fit, then we have a thousand protestant denominations declaring each other heterodox.

The Roman Catholic Church was NOT the first church. The first church is recorded in the Book of Acts in the Bible and it was built on Jesus Christ. Paul then spread the gspel and started new churches that were all built on Jesus Christ, which you can read about in the New Testament of the Bible (after The Book of Acts).

The catholic church was the original church. It literally means "universal". And regardless of other denominations, it is believed that all other forms of Christianity were derived from Catholism

Christ died for His Church, it was established on the day of Pentecost in Acts chapter 2.
In John 4:23, we read, " But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: fror the Father seeketh such to worship him."
We are told how true worshippers are to worship and that this is what God seeks.
When we preach the gospel of Christ today, God is calling people to him to worship him. (Mark 16:15,16; 2Thess. 2:14).
Anyone who Hears the gospel (Romans 10:14-17),
believes the facts of the gospel, death, burial, ressurection of Jesus (Mark 16:15,16); Repents of their sins ( Acts 17:30,31), Confesses Jesus Christ as Lord and the Son of God ( Romans 10:9,10) and is immersed in Baptism in water for remission of sins (Acts 2:38; Acts 8:35-39) is a son of God Gal. 3:26,27 and being so seeks to worship God his Way. When we obey Christ we are then added to the Church by GOD Acts 2:47
The Church of Christ does this. they do not add to God's word, nor take away from God's word. The N.T. church does not allow man-made ideas or doctrines to be added to God's word.
Anything that is done in Christ Church CONTRARY to God's holy inspired word is Vain worship (Matthew 15:8,9)
We are to confess our sins to God, God only can give forgiveness, God only can Bless us, God only is our Father.
to add even the tiniest thing is not accepted by God. no matter how sincere we might be. God tells us what to do to worship him and how to do it.
Any change whatsoever is not the Church of Christ.
other foundation can no man lay than that which is laid which is Christ our Lord.
Christ is the only way.
If it is not in GOD's word it is False Doctrine.
Eph.4:13,14
1 Tim. 6:3
2 Tim. 14:3
Galatians 1:8 But though we (the apostles) or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you other than what we have preached unto you , let him be accursed.
