If a biker walked into a saloon and called all the cowboys fags, wouldn't he get his *** kicked?

Not if his intentions were right, he wouldn't be the instigator. Jesus went anywhere that he was needed, and I guess a synagogue would be a daring place to go--knowing the risk you're taking. But if your son did it in obedience, then he would have to have known the consequences.

roman catholics had a similar idea which used to be fairly popular in inner-city parishes, etc...
It's called Liberation Theology, and it casts Jesus as more of a marxist instigator for human rights.

Anyone going to a Jewish synagogue and saying anything about Jesus or Christ is an idiot and a fool.
Leave them alone. They do not want your religion and what a waist of time and Spirit to try to give it to them

who said they went to other people's hometowns and started trouble? Jesus was a real person who really made miracles (he may have been wise beyond his years or possessed a hands on healing technique) but to those people, it was miracles....the apostles spread this word and people WENT TO THEM to hear about it....

I think that it depends on other criteria. Either way it sounds like trouble. Not that trouble is to be avoided at all times, eh Mr. Nolte?

I am Jewish...non-practising agnostic...but Jewish....so my persepective is a tad different.
What would we do today to a guy who said he was the son of God....told us to change our laws, overturned our money tables (the banking), and said that we should be subtle and convert everyone else?
Today we'd jail him. back then they executed.
Once you stop assuming Jesus was a prophet/saviour...and analyze what he did.....of course he ended up being executed.
