They are mentioned in several books of the Bible. Most notably in Job 40 and 41 when God has a long conversation with Job reminding him of the mighty creations of God. The modern word dinosaur is not used becaused Job is the oldest book of the Bible written 3 to 4,000 years ago. The word dinosaur was created in the 1800's. If you read this two chapters it is apparent that God is talking about what we refer to today as dinosaurs.

Depends how you interpret the Bible
On one hand you could say the creatures mentioned in the book of Job are dinosaurs.
On the other hand, scriptures (once studied in detail) show that the earth was formed and then Satan fell like lightning. Then God removed His presence and the ice age began which killed all wildlife including dinosaurs. Later the Lord came back and began creation all over but this time mankind was on the scene. This scenario isn't that unbelievable if you read the NT and the book of Revelation which shows that the earth will be destroyed again but by fire (lava) and a new earth will be created a 3rd time. It's all in the Bible. I don't have any scriptures here with me but if you read about creation and look up original Greek and Hebrew you'll notice they don't say the same things. It's very very interesting and matches what science says

God created everything—and yes, that this means He also created the dinosaurs. They aren't mentioned in the Bible, however, since they were extinct by the time it was written. I also don't know why God let them become extinct (although I'm not sorry He did; I'd hate to have a hungry dinosaur peek over the fence at me!).
The Bible doesn't give a detailed list of what birds and animals were included on the ark.The Bible does say, however, that the reason God preserved the animals and birds on the ark was "to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth" after the flood was gone (Genesis 7:3). Since dinosaurs apparently were extinct a long time before Noah, and also didn't appear after the flood, it seems unlikely that his ark included such creatures.
The Bible makes it clear that nothing happened on earth by accident; everything was created by God, and was in accordance with His perfect design. The very first verse of the Bible says, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" (Genesis 1:1). The Bible also tells us that Christ was given the assignment of actually creating the universe, and "without him nothing was made that has been made" (John 1:3).

Hello, I'm happy to tell you that the dinosaur are mention in the bible, To clarified to those who said that some words like the same word Dinosaurs were created after the biblical time It true, in that time the people from those days didn't need a "Classification word" for the creatures living on earth. Their are many theories on how they became to be, some say that God create them and others that the were genetically created by the scientist in those days to use them as war animals and got out of hand, create new species and could not control them and the eventually perish in the flood.
Now!! Why they are not fully describe in the bible??
Simple the bible is a spiritual guide on how to get to God through Jesus, and how to learn from stories, examples and prophecies. The purpose of the bible is not to illustrate the earth before or after the flood, Its a guidance book on how God love us and how we need to love him in order to go back to the way we were intended to be (As God creation to adore him)
I hope this helps you to understand why the bible It's not clear about Dinosaurs - It wasn't intent to be

Many people here will mention the "leviathin" or something along those lines, which insinuates that Man lived at the same time as dinosaurs. Since some of those same Christians believe the Earth is 6000 years old, which is the approximate time of the start of civilization, how do they explain the fact that dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago, or 64,994,000 years before the Earth was created?

Peaches, the word Dinosaur is a modern description. You wont find a modern wording because the Bible was written a very long time ago. Tyrannosaurus Rex, Pterodactyls and such are all modern invented scientific words.
Read the Old Testament and you'll see dinosaurs under the words "Behemoth, Dragon, Leviathan" - and these also coexisted with man.

It does make mention of animals that seem to me to be dinosaurs. I'm thinking Job talked about them.
During that time there were not a whole lot of people and they still lived within a pretty small area. What I'm getting at here, is I've never seen a polar bear in the wild. I doubt I ever will, so it is not likely the story of my life would include polar bears, but that doesn't mean they don't exisit.

The Bible does mention dinosaurs. In the book of Job he mentions the laviathan, which is a type of dinosaur.

actually they do mention dinosaurs in the Bible. There are some mentions in Psalms, Job and probably Isaiah, that I know of. Things like the "leviathon", those are dinosaurs! Cool, huh?

The Bible doesn't explicitly say when angels were created either, yet it makes mention of them later.
Look at Job 40:15-24 and all of 41. Putting aside any notions of "hippopotamus" or "elephant," what do these creatures seem to be?
