to be one you would have to know everything and be like a god yourself, which you are only human. How can you not see the truth that is staring you in the face. John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perrish but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world though him might be saved.

I don't know how you could possibly think any of THAT is the truth.

I never said I knew for a fact there is no God. I can't prove his non-existence. But I don't see any reason to believe in him. I can't see how God is any more real than any other deity I don't believe in (Thor, Shiiva etc).

Did anyone ever reconsider being an Atheist after you quoted the Bible on him? Because to me, that's fiction. You might as well have said, "Call me Ishmael".

My first response to your question is, of course, to draw your attention to the difference between "your" and "you're." You may think that this sort of thing is unimportant until I remind you that language is the material with which we frame our thoughts, and accuracy becomes vital.

If you think about it for a moment, you will probably agree that it is highly unlikely for an atheist to regard the Gospels as a valid source of information, so using the Gospels to persuade atheists to believe is rather like using "The Night Before Christmas" to persuade an adult to leave out cookies and milk for Santa.

You believe in God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit, I'm sure and those beliefs are as real to you as the house you live in. This does not mean that the beliefs of other people are any less real to them. Atheists believe that there is no God. That really is what they believe, and their beliefs have the same authenticity to them as yours do to you.

Since it cannot be verified the God exists or does not exist, neither you nor the atheists can conclusively prove your points of view.

If your belief gives you comfort and a sense of purpose, I think that's a wonderful thing, and hope you continue in joyful participation in your faith. I ask you to consider, however that it is faith.

The world is wide and full of many people who believe many things. Each belief is as real to its believers as your belief is to you. One of the old names for God is "the Unknowable." That being the case, it is possible that your "knowledge" of God is rather subjective.

How can you possibly think that YOU'RE a non-morman? God sent Joseph Smith to earth to tell you the truth and you still turn your back on him? Face it, kid... your beliefs are retarded and you're going to hell. Convert to the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or be a moron and got to hell... it's that simple. NOW that is free will.

God bless you all (except for gays and pagans!)

In my mind, if you deny something exists, then you are admitting there is something that does not exist!

How can that be?

Not all of us use the Bible as a reference point for such things.

Not all of us are driven by a need to prove a point in religion.

And... some of us know how to capitalize sentences and use the correct grammatical forms.

Everyone has a different truth child. When you have experienced life, you will learn this. It is one of the great truths of life.

How can you possibly think you're a christian?
There is no evidence WHATSOEVER that Jesus ever even lived.
No birth record, no death record, no self-written documents, no secular historian of that time even gives him a passing glance, and yet the bible alleges he had over 1/2 million followers at his death.. so how is it that you follow someone whose very existence is in question?

Atheists simply follow the evidence.. and of your savior, there is none.

Wrong. I only have to not believe in any god/s.

Do you believe in fairies, Santa, Zeus, Baal, Krishna, and invisible unicorns. You would have to know everything to not to. There are as many stories about them a there are about Jesus

An atheist is a person who BELIEVES there is no god. Therefore I am an atheist.

No-one can KNOW there is no god just like no-one can KNOW there is.

Before the mind virus got a hold of you, you were an atheist too. We are all born atheists. Your parents are to blame.
