My skin has cleared up drastically ever since I went on Proactiv. However, I still get pimples on my nose. Nowhere else. And they're not just these little ones... they're huge, inflamed, painful megazits.

Is there anything specific that could be causing me to break out only on my nose? (Such as diet, etc.?)

I eat healthily and drink plenty of water, so I don't think this is the reason.

It could be many things

1. don't touch your face at all, especially your nose

2. food has not been shown to have any direct contact to acne, but drinking water and eating foods high in anti-oxidants should help

3. you could have a mixed skin type [AKA, a T-zone] which means you are prone to acne around the nose (and chin and forhead for some people) You can use special creams for this.

well, it's called the T-zone, and the grease normally that comes from the hair, which accumulate dirt even if you regularly was it, slides down your face and gets accumulated in certain areas. Since you have gone on medication, it has disappeared in the other areas. but the grease is still accumulated on your nose and it has no-other place to go. Me and my friend also get pimples on the tip of our nose and it looks really humiliating at school. So, wash your face thrice or even 4 times a day. and when you wash, rub your skin with all your force. pimples are caused by dirt and oil in pores, the dirt is removed by the soap, and the oil can be squeezed out if you rub it kinda hard. Rub your nose, till it feels completely oil-free and squeaky clean. Carry a tissue paper (moist, scented ones that you get) and wipe your nose whenever you think it is getting a little to oily for your liking when you're on the move. Diet does not really influnce that hard on the pimples. Apply sandalwood on your pimple, it cools down and the pain that you mention and redness will also die out. Mix the sandalwood powder with water or even rose water and make a paste and apply it there. it will soothe even sunburns. When it hardens, u can wash it away. take good care of ur skin and health. Kudos 2 u, b-coz, most people just give up if they can't get rid of their zits.

You can find a lot of reasons what causes acne on internet. Food, oily skin and over active sweat glands all produce acne . I've seen a big reduction of outbreaks when I exercise and was my face more often.
By exercising we clean our pores through sweating and washing your face keeps your skin cleaner, even if you wash it without soap.
Also, when I get small pimple, I put some toothpaste as topical treatment overnight. Because the toothpaste works as antibacterial for mouth, it works for zits too.

Diet has nothing to do with acne, and it's truly amazing that in this information age that old tale persists. If you're a teenager, chances are you just have acne vulgaris and it's bad enough to need real treatment (read: trip to the dermatologist). If you're older, it may be that you're describing a mild case of rhynophyma, and need treatment for acne rosacea, which is an entirely different animal.
