My ex husband always had athlete's foot - and what worked for him over time (I know it's gross) but he peed on his feet in the shower.

It really worked over time (about 2 weeks) - and his was BAD. Cracked and bleeding...

Well in the military they make you pee on your own feet and they say it works really well...Now besides that try Micatin (not sure of the spelling comes in an orange and brownish can) it is over the counter but the med in it is stronger than most. Also wash all your socks in hot water and bleach and spray the insides of all your shoes with it, don't go sockless until you've cured it and last but not least buy some medicated goldbond powder and put it inside your shoes every time you put them on. It might take a while for this to work it just depends upon how bad it is. Now of course I am not looking at your feet but if there are blisters and they hurt it might not be athlete's foot...It might be this other disorder where the glands of your feet don't sweat. It can become very painful and only dr medications can clear it up. My husband has that and he gets it really bad esp when he is fighting fires cause he feet are wet yet he is hot, but sometimes it just pops up for no reason and presription medication is the only thing that clears it up.

Maybe you have a fungus there- try miconazole cream (you can get it for roughly $4 behind the counter of your pharmacy- apply this twice daily). Use cotton socks and try to keep your feet dry and in the air as much as possible. When at the gym, walk around the showers and locker room in flip-flops. Other than this, if you have tried everything else, consult a dermatologist. They may prescribe a TAC cream or Nystatin for you (prescription-only meds).

Our family alternative medicine doc had us get him these special insoles and he has not had athlete's foot or ingrown toe nails in over a year, most amazing thing we have ever seen. The insole cost around $60 and his just now need to be replaced and he wears them everyday. I used to spend at least $20 a month on all those over the counter and RX treatments. If you would like to know how to get them email me.

there is no cure for athletes foot, it is an infection that will only go dormant but will never be "gone"... the fast acting tinactin spray always works...good luck
