The Philippines is the easiest country in Asia to live in when you consider that you can stay here for a year on an extended tourist visa, then leave for a day and come back and do it again. It's also the cheapest, friendliest, most beautiful island nation in Asia. Internal travel is dirt cheap, house rentals are almost nothing, 200usd a month will get you a 2 bedroom house in the provinces near a beach, (get out of the cities).
Only problem is, finding a job here is difficult unless you have serious managerial/financial skills and are willing to work as an expat on a local contract, you'll still be super well off here with that income.
I've lived here for 15 years, retired, and apart from a few morons on this site, I've had no problems and get on with everyone, I'm retired and live on a private island with a stunning beach and protected reef, get up every day, put on a pair of shorts and drink cheap, cold San Miguel.
Police don't hassle you for much and if you don't come here with an arrogant attitude, you'll be well accepted.

Depends on what is your expertise field. Modern high tech field, countries like Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea and Singapore.
If you are in financial, Hong Kong and Singapore will be your best bet.
If you are into education, there will be more options in many countries in Asia. Oh, I forgot about the Middle East.
Asia is pretty big. You will need to narrow down your region.

I'd go to Japan if I were. it is kind of pricey, but easy to find job if you want to teach english or something. The people are wonderful, the women are gorgeous, the food is fantastic. I dont see why you wouldn't go there.
