Do you think that when Jesus comes back he ever wants to see a cross again? Why are you taunting your savior? Don't you think a "Welcome Home Jesus!" T-shirt would be more effective?

That is a funny joke and have heard it before. Wouldn't it be more funny if Jesus came and he freaked out at seeing so many crosses, he'll go back to heaven!

Either way, Jesus sees your HEART, not so much the jewelry a person wears or the outfit etc we have on. To wear a cross has different meanings for different people. Some, it's a fashion statement, but for a true believer it usually symbolizes the belief that Our Lord and Savior went to the cross willinglly and paid for our sins so we could have everlasting life with Him. Jesus knows we're not gonna hang Him with our cross necklace, so this isn't even an issue, why make it one? I think our Welcome Home Lord and Master of my life HEARTS will be pleasing to Jesus' eyes more than a shirt. Shirts or any symbol of our love for Jesus is a witness for others mostly and is great.

Do you think Jesus has forgot about the cross? Dont be ridiculous. We wear them for others who have forgot about what He did for us. And to let others know we have a relationship with Christ. And we would love to get you into that same relationship. That is why I wear one. Now we also have so many wearing them its a fashion accessory and that is oh so sad. Taking away the meaning of the cross. Its a sad world we live in. But Ill tell ya Jesus wont see the crosses as we are Raptured with Him. And it only matters what is our heart not what we have. We dont need to wear a cross we choose to. Amen and Peace out................

I'm not a Christian, but I think if we forget how Jesus died.....we won't be able to remind ourselves that we did this to Jesus and some day we could definately do it again.....if Jesus were here today, we would see a cross, because good Christian Church-going people would be the very same ones to persecute him again, don't you get it?

That's a clever idea. I don't know, but in my religion, the Crucifix, or a cross with Jesus attached is a normative form of contemplation and reflection. A suffering Jesus is often painted or scultped on the cross as a means of emphasizing his suffering. Jesus in robes is also shown to emphasize his title, Christ the King. I suppose in Catholicism at least, it serves as a reminder or something to think about. No one is required to wear one, I don't think.

Maggie...First I would say that your question is offensive, but I realize there are things you do not know.

No, Jesus would not think we were taunting him. He died on the cross for us and he knew this was his lot in life.

An empty cross is worn by most Protestants. It symbolizes that Christ is not dead, that he is no longer there but in heaven with his Father. A crucifix is the choice of many Catholics and it stands for the suffering Christ who died for our sins. So in both cases, the wearing of the jewelry is an honor to the savior.

I am sure someone will make T-Shirts too, lol.

I would, but Orthodox Christians don't wear them. We're supposed to be able to reflect Jesus in the way we act towards others. We don't need a Cross to remind us that we are a Child of God.

It is a symbolic reminder of what Jesus did for me. As a mortal, I frequently forget the price he paid.

Personally, I use a cross as a reminder of the price Christ paid for us. He suffered the worst possible death for my and all people's sins, and He was entirely innocent.
