I don't really know. However, it's talking about God healing His people and restoring them, so this might just be an exaggeration of the usual habits of the sun and moon. It might be just a metaphor for God's amazing restoration.
By the way, if that's the only part of that chapter you find confusing, you should probably read it again.

I think it is
The moon will be as bright as the sun, and the sun will be seven times brighter—like the light of seven days in one! So it will be when the Lord begins to heal his people and cure the wounds he gave them.
it is talking about the end of times... but the Son may be Jesus and not the 'star' sun we see daily

I believe that it is talking about the woes (six) of them on Israel and Judah for specific sins, ending in condemnation and judgment from God. People have to read the before and after verses to get the whole meaning !

The light refers to Knowledge / intelligence.
The healing of his people means their spreading of knowledge through out the world will be accepted. (JWs)
More will listen and see the light. End times are here. You cannot Deny what you can see.
I often tell people to readtheir own bible. What we say is in there.....IS!

Prophesy can be very hard to figure out what they're saying....maybe its talking about the "last days". I'm not totally sure. You could ask a leader in your church, or someone else you know who is older and wiser in the faith than you are.

It's simply flowery language to comfort Israel that at that time, God will be blessing them.
