Britsh people do not hate Americans, or the American way of life.

I actually feel sorry for you guys in some ways because you have a president that has the IQ of a turnip. Bush is willing to spend billions on a war far away from home while there is alot of poverty in America, and alot of people suffering because you have no health service.

We only dislike American politics and the fact that your government feel they can impose their rules on the rest of the world....who gives them the right to come into Britain, Germany, Turkey and take our citizens without trial and detain them in Guantanamo Bay for example. What gives the American government the right to say that because they do not believe in something they will do everything in their power to block other countries from joining in a common goal.

I have spent time in America and I can safely say that the American people are great, slightly naive about what happens outside America, but they are great people.

I actually think that part of Americas problem is that they are an extremely young nation compared to the likes of Britain and Germany, this causes a problem because they are a super power who is exerting its strength without having a history to understand the consequences.

It´s not only the British, it´s pretty much the whole world at the moment.
Never has anti-american sentiment been so high.
America are not the world government, nobody appointed them and no-one asked them.
Their selective policing is transparent to all outside the U.S.A i.e. anyone that reads, listens and watches unfiltered and unbaised media.
They are a danger to world peace and should concentrate their efforts on goodwill, charity, caring and love and should start at home by looks of your hurricane Katrina ordeal.
World safety has never been achieved through agressiveness and bullying, has not the rest of history served to remind us of this.

The British are not unthankful nor hate the Americans --- they only dislike the current U.S. politics and president Bush. It's the same over here in my country, Germany. But, when you dislike the U.S. president or the US politics, does this automatically means that you're un-American or Anti-American??? I don't think so. Even many Americans today doesn't like Bush, are they also Anti-American? That's bullshit.

The vast majority of Europeans still does likes America and Americans, but not America's policy abroad. Don't forget that it was president Bush, who LIED about the Iraq War and about the WMDs...Lots of British soldies died in Iraq, because of Bush's (and Blair's) lies...
And over 300,000 innocent Iraqi civilians also had been killed because of Bush's lies.
On American television, you only hear about American casaulties in Iraq - but, never about the 300,000 Iraqi casaulties...(I can watch American TV over here in Germany).

Europeans simply doesn't like the way how America today is acting in the world, especially all their bashings and bombings of other tiny nations, just for oil...All it's superior thinking and "we are the best" crap, etc.

I also think it's time for some Americans to see the world not only with American eyes, but start to think how other nations and peoples thinks and feels. The problems with many Americans is that they only think in the American way, but never make any attempt to understand other cultures & countries.
And, many Europeans are really sick & tired that they has to understand America all the time - but, America makes NO effort to understand other nations.

Greetings from Germany...
