It's quite sad actually that it's still up....I keep telling myself I am gonna take it down, but it just doesn't happen. The lights are still up outside, those aren't coming down.

So, should I take it down tomorrow? or should I just change the decorations to match the upcoming holidays? Easter bunnies on a Christmas tree? It could work...either way, it's just getting more sad, lol.

I usually leave mine up until late January or early February, but that's just because I like it, if it bothered me I would take it down sooner! Don't keep it if you don't like it yourself.... It's more of a personal prefernce than etiquette as long as it's in your own home, other people shouldn't care what you decorate your home with but if *you* don't like it anymore, get rid of it!

Lights outside are nice all winter long if they're the white kind, the colored ones are a bit too Christmassy but I think white lights are pleasant to see as long as it's dark out so early....

we will take our tree down no till now than January 6, for we shop ours up for the 12 days of Christmas. we don't depart lights fixtures up year around. something of our Christmas lights fixtures and decorations will additionally stay conscious till a minimum of January 6. Merry 12 Days of Christmas!

Keep it up. No use in taking it down then putting it back up soon enough. If you are expecting people to come over taking it down might be a good idea though...if you care what they think.

Ha, ha!....I once did that (years ago when I was working too much) and made a bet with my friends who kept on teasing me that I would leave it up until the following Christmas. I actually lost the bet when I couldn't stand it any longer...but that was already in June!
