I have been talking to this guy for almost a year he is in the airforce and living in florida. We met through mutal friends, and we have become really close, i even flew down to see him. He is leaving the military in April but recently asked for some space. why would he need this space? and what should I do?

It means he doesnt want to be burdened down with a relationship and that you should back off totally. Do not call, do not write. If he wants to hear from you he will do it otherwise you will be making a fool out of yourself if you do. Be strong and let him go.

He might need this space to live his life the way he wants- to explore who he is-- to date other women-- whatever. It's his life, so you need to get real and accept it. He's leaving the military, for heaven's sake- he needs to feel free and do his thing.

if he really like or love you enough, he wont said that...you might be get dump by him...believe me, i experienced this before.
