whenever i go to install it says that the startup files are not installed in that drive so vista cant be installed . If i try to switch in to another drive then its showing me the same message .
So actually what i need to do to install Vista in a formatted hard drive PC ?

well my laptop is fully upgraded pentinum Centrino with 1 GB of ram and 128 MB of Display . and 1500 MB of procesor pentium (M) . so i think this configuration is enough to run windows Vista eh !

Do you have an Upgrade version of Vista? They are cheaper, but absolutely require a running Windows XP version on the Computer.

Other Versions (OEM and full Retail) should work after booting from DVD.

Did you check to see if your computer will run Vista before buying?

You say drive s not drive -- if you are messing with more than one hard drive, you will need help from someone more experienced than I.

Use the vista cd, reformat the drive with it and install from there.
